Stamp N Plus Blog Hop

Welcome to Stamp N Plus stamp of the month blog hop. We will have a monthly blog hop showcasing a stamp from Stamp N Plus

A little bit about me. I'm married with one dog in West Michigan. I work at a local hospital and create cards and scrapbooks every other waking moment. I have been on this Design Team since November 2011 where I am the coordinator of the company's powdered chalk blog, Chalk-Ah-Lot Cafe. We have a challenge on this blog every other week using powdered chalk. If you are interested in joining in on the challenge at the chalk blog you must use SNP chalk. *The owner of Stamp N Plus is offering a special to get more participants on the chalk blog. You can get two free powdered chalks for the price of shipping and handling. Check it out HERE and then join us at the Cafe for your chance to win more powdered chalk.*

Enough about me.....

This month we have a fun frog stamp that I just adore. He is a very versatile stamp for many different occasions. I made an encouragement card using patterned papers by Making Memories, cardstock by Recollections and Scrap Works, ink by Tsukineko and Ranger Industries, sentiment by Cricut cartridge Wild Card and a die cut by Spellbinders.

I am giving away two powdered chalks and this frog stamp to one person that leaves me a comment by Saturday night. You must be a follower of my blog so I can get a hold of you. I will announce the winner on Sunday with the new Chalk-Ah-Lot challenge.

Next you should hop on over to

Here is the blog line up:

Chalk-Ah-Lot challenge #12

This week at Chalk-Ah-Lot Cafe our challenge is Red, White and Blue.

*You must use powdered chalks by Stamp N Plus*

For my card I used a combination of red chalks and paint to create the colored background on my label that my sentiment is on.
If you take a bit (the size of a pinky nail) and mix it with paint or Elmer's glue or Mod Podge or Glossy Accents or Liquid Pearls you get a medium in which you can paint onto your paper. It makes for a great background and once it dries you can easily stamp on it. I use Stampin Up, Close to my Heart and Memento Inks ink pads when stamping on a chalked surface.

For other tips on how to use powdered chalk check out the website HERE

My star stamps are by Stamp N Plus (S973 and S880)
star brads by Eyelet Outlet
Ink by Close to my Heart and Stampin Up
label by Martha Stewart
die cut by Spellbinders
card base by Michael's

Thanks for looking.

Stamp N Plus challenge-Owl Graduation Card

Our new monthly stamp challenge can be found at the
starting today and ending at the end of the month.

The challenge this month is to use black and white only on your creation. {The red in my card is my watermark}.

You are only allowed four entries for this month long challenge. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the month.

For my card my owl stamp I stamped it on black by using white craft ink. It takes a full over night for it to dry but well worth it. I then used a circle punch to give it shape. The sentiment are simply letters that I put in the circle. I eyeballed the whole thing. I like the way it turned out. Perfect for graduation season.

You can find the Owl stamp M970 & the alphabet letters at the given links. These rubber stamps are of fabulous quality producing a beautiful image every time.

Other Supplies:
Patterned paper by GCD, circles by Creative Memories Cutting System or punch, border punch by Fiskars and black ink by Tsukineko.

Be sure to visit the other DT members blogs for their wonderful black and white inspiration.

Thanks for looking.

Christmas Cards All Year Round June Challenge

This month our at Christmas Cards All Year Round our challenge is:

TWINKLE-TWINKLE Lights - mulit-colored or clear, embossed or bling, strings or singles, vintage or new, bright or dull, broken or whole ...inspriation is limitless! Make it electric and fun. How about those BOLD colors of card stock we rarely use?

I used a stamp from a set of small stamps a student got me for Christmas many years back. I think from Michael's. My line of lights is a little bit off. Ink by Memento and Stampin Up. The sentiment stamp is by Elle's Studio. Brads are by Close to my Heart.

Be sure to join us for this month long challenge making Christmas cards. I am sponsoring the challenge this month with the prize below.
