Fall Thanks Cards for Chalk Ah Lot Café

I forgot to post my Chalk Ah Lot card for the start of the last challenge. So today I will post both cards. The challenge is Thanks/Thankful/Thanksgiving with chalk. All of the powdered chalk I used on my two cards is by Stamp N Plus. I combine the powdered chalk with their paint and use a fine-tip paintbrush to apply the mixture to my card. I used many different colors for these two cards which can be found over on the right-hand side of the website.

For the first card, I stamped and heat embossed a cornucopia stamp by Stamp N Plus. Colored it in as told above and then inked the edges with distress ink. The image is matted onto patterned paper by DCWV and adhered to the card front with foam adhesive. The card front has patterned paper by K and Co, a doily by Little Yellow Bicycle, the ribbon by The Paper Studio, and a wooden feather by Maya Road that has been painted with red crackle paint by Ranger.

My second card is an embossing folder by Cuttlebug that I painted over the raised area. The sentiment is by Stamp N Plus and the orange paper behind is by CGull.

Thanks for looking.

Sassy Elsa with powdered chalk accents.

Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring the challenge at Outlaws

The Elsa image was printed onto Cryogen cardstock and colored with Copic markers. Then I added Stardust powdered chalk with paint both by Stamp N Plus, to her hair and cape. She is die cut out with a Quickutz die but I cut off the bottom and adhered her to the blue cardstock that has been dry embossed with a Gina Marie Fluff Embossing folder. I used the debossed side of the paper for something different. The patterned paper strip is by Making Memories and it has been distressed with distress ink by Ranger. The blue pennant is a die cut by Stampin Up and the frozen die cut is cut out from Cricut. The frzen title is alphabets stamps by Lawn Fawn in Hero Arts Charcoal ink. All the blue cardstocks are by Recollections, the snowflake and circle stickers are by Sticko an EK Success company, and the Let it Snow epoxy sticker is by TPC Co.

Thanks for looking.

Sassy Effie Trinket In Red and Blue card

{ I updated a few things on 9-11-22. However, I kept the past information about the things I did in that time.}
This week's Flashback Friday at Sassy Studio Designs is Effie Trinket 2. The image will be $2.00 for an entire week at the SSD Store. (I’m keeping the link to the store as a reference to the images even though you can’t buy them.I think that’s the stupidest thing.)
I printed the image out onto Cryogen cardstock and colored her in with Copic markers. Then I die cut her out with a Spellbinders die and set her aside. The red patterned paper is by GCD and the blue by Papertrey Ink. The sentiment is a sticker by K and Co that I placed onto a piece of white cardstock by Recollections and then cut the end as shown. I adhered those two pieces onto the card base and then stamped the red polka dot border by TPC Studio in Stampin Up red ink on the left side. I placed a Want 2 Scrap rhinestone in the open circles of the stamped border and also on the images belt buckle and on the sentiment. To finish I added the image and sentiment to the card front.

Butterfly Effie Sassy

Sassy Studio Designs sponsorship Crafting from the Heart

I got to play with the Butterfly Effie Portrait and I think she could be easily used for a spring or summer card. I decided to stay with the fall-ish colors because that is what I am into making these days. I printed the digi onto Cryogen cardstock and colored her in with Copic Markers. Then I die cut her out with a Spellbinders die and inked the inside of the die cut with Distress Ink by Ranger. The background paper is by The Paper Studio and the polka dot paper is by Sassafras. There is yellow rick-rack on both sides of the polka dot paper. The sentiment is a die cut from my Cricut and the Straight from the Nest cartridge. There were a couple of different sentiments that would work great with this image.

Thanks for looking.

Manly Monday Boat

Welcome back to Manly Monday. I'm typing with gloves on so please forgive me if I make a typing error and don't catch it. It is chilly in my basement where my studio is located and I have to take drastic measures to stay warm sometimes.

I have five wonderful ladies sharing their manly cards today. I hope you will stop by each blog and leave them a comment. Everybody loves comments-well I know I do. Click on the blog name to be directed to the card and then take a look at what I've created for today.

My manly card today uses a Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous boat stamp. I used the reflection technique to create the reflection in the water. I enhanced the sky and the water with distress ink by Ranger and then sprayed the image with water since distress products react with water. The cloud is a Unity Stamp Co stamp and I filled it in with Liquid Pearls by Ranger. Then I put it all together with some scrap blue cardstock and Recollections black cardstock and added the American Crafts sentiment sticker.

Thanks for looking.

Elsa Sponsorship Card

Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring the challenge at Not Just Cards and I made this Elsa shaker card for it. The image was printed out onto Ranger Industries watercolor paper and then colored in with a water pen and some distress inks. I die cut it out with a Spellbinders die and then cut the patterned paper by Studio G with the next size up. I made the shaker card onto glitter paper by The Paper Studio and with confetti by Bag of Chips Productions. The sentiment is a Hero Arts stam that I stamped onto vellum by The Paper Studio with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with Ranger Industries blue embossing powder. I ran the vellum through my Xyron and adhered it to the card front. The little squiggle by the sentiment is from a bag of Dress me Up button thingy's.

Thanks for looking.

Princess Feather Portrait Tag

Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring the Glitter N Sparkle challenge and as you know I am the GDT this month so I made a tag for the challenge.

I'm using the Princess Feathers Portrait image which is new as of yesterday. Hopefully you hopped with us to see all the new images and for your chance to win them {scroll down to the next post to hop}

I printed her out onto Ranger watercolor paper and colored her in with a water pen and distress markers. Then I fussy cut her out and inked the edges with distress ink. I stamped and heat embossed the tag, by Paper Accents, with a Hero Arts stamp and with gold embossing powder by Stamp N Plus and copper by Ranger Industries. I inked it with distress ink and then sprayed it with water mixed with Perfect Pearls. The jute at the bottom is by Tim Holtz and it is fed through a corrugated flower button. The feather on the left is by Maya Road and I covered it with green Metallic Fx by Dreamweaver Stencils. The thanks alphabet are also by Dreamweaver Stencils that I first inked with distress ink and then ended up covering with the same Metallic Fx. The portrait is adhered to a vellum die cut with the vellum by The Paper Studio and the die cut by Sizzix.

Praying portrait blonde Sassy Studio Nov Release

Today is the day for the Sassy Studio Designs new release with blog hop. The ultra talented Lindsay created 5 new images to add to the fun Sassy collection. Hop along to see all the images used by the DT members. I'm only a GDT for the month of November but am thrilled I got to play with this great image. You should be here from Carrie's blog.

I got to play with the Praying Portrait and I decided to stay with the fall-ish colors because that is what I am into making these days. I printed the digi onto Cryogen cardstock and colored her in with Copic Markers. Then I trimmed her down to a rectangle and matted her with yellow cardstock by Coredinations. The side patterned paper is by Basic Grey and the polka dot paper is by The Paper Studio. The sentiment is a stamp by Stampin Up that I stamped on the same cardstock as the mat. Then I matted it onto a small scrap of GCD patterned paper. The red matched the red in the floral print paper.

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look at my card. Here is the

Bella Bride Sassy

I'm enjoying my time as the GDT member on the Sassy Studio Designs that I thought I would give a try at it again. They may not allow such thing as a back to back GDT but it doesn't hurt to try.

I printed this Bella Bride Sassy out onto Cryogen cardstock and colored her in with Copic Markers. Then I die cut her out with a Spellbinders die and adhered her to a Colorbok glittery die cut. The background is white cardstock that I dry embossed with a Darice folder. The cardstock is by Recollections and the vellum sticker sentiment is by K and Co. The hearts are chipboard from Idk where because they are so old. I jazzed them up by coloring them with Smooch ink by Colorbox multiple times.

Thanks for looking.

The background paper is by Die Cuts with a View and the cardstock is by Recollections. The border punch is by Fiskars and I punched it out twice on the same strip of paper. Sassy Studio Designs challenge

Thursday means a new challenge at Sassy Studio Designs. This weeks challenge is

Watch it fall - Use leaves on your project

I used Jane Honey {Near the bottom of this link}because I thought of her in the Tarzan movie and how they are surrounded by the jungle/leaves. I printed her out onto Cryogen cardstock and colored her in with Copic Markers. Then I die cut her out with a Spellbinders die and inked the inside of the die cut with Distress Ink by Ranger. The background paper is by Best Creations and the polka dot paper is by Sassafras. The leaves in the background of the image are stamps by Hero Arts stamped in Versa Color ink and fussy cut out. The sentiment is by Stampin Up with ink by Hero Arts and die cut out with a Spellbinders die. Lastly, the ribbon is by Pebbles.

This is a 5x7 card which is very rare for me and I can explain why; I sell my cards at a store and at my mom's craft show booth and both venues can only accommodate the smaller sized cards 4x5 1/2. So I never make the bigger cards because they just sit at my house collecting dust.

Anyway, Thanks for looking.

Yellow Flourish Latte Stamp by Deep Red Stamps

I made this card using a Latte flourish stamp by deep Red Stamps
The image is stamped in black Hero Arts ink on white cardstock by Recollections that have been die cut out using the Cricut. Then I adhered the grey mat onto it and I think it really makes the image stand out against the yellow background. There are two rows of ribbon at the bottom with the grey by Stampin Up and the yellow by Offray. The sentiment sticker at the bottom is by Jolee's.

Thanks for stopping by today.
