December CaleNdar Layout wearing Shorts in winter

I made the mistake of asking him what he thought of this layout to which he replied why do you do you have Santa heads with shorts? I didn't think it mattered because I mostly go by colors in the photos and this worked.

The Santa paper is by My Mind's Eye. The whistle was made with my Cricut. The green corners are a square cut corner to corner. The words were made with letter stamps from OTC.

Thanks for looking.

Manly Monday Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays Green with Stars Card

Merry Christmas. This is a fatter slimline card with Basic Grey patterned paper and DCWV green opulent cardstock. I stamped this old sentiment stamp from my stash onto a Dreamweaver Stencils die cut. The jute is by Tim Holtz. The stars are the bits that fell out of a Marvy corner punch.

Thanks for looking.

Manly Monday Blues and Greens Christmas card

The background paper is by Stampin Up. I dry embossed it with a snowflake embossing folder by Cuttlebug. Then I lightly inked the raised area with distress ink. The plaid background stamp is by Just Rite stamps. I inked it with a bunch of different ink colors because I was testing the ink pads on a mint colored cardstock and ended up liking it. I inked the edges before taping it down.
The tree stamp is by Cloud Nine. I stamped and colored it in with Peerless Watercolors. After that, it was off to the die cut using a Spellbinders die. I inked blue to look like the sky and then Stickles to look like snow.

Thanks for looking

Floral Friday Christmas Cricut Slimline card

Slimline cards are a challenge for me. I feel like there’s so much wasted space yet if you fill it up, it’s just too much.

The background patterned paper is by Bo Bunny.  The poinsettia is a Cricut die cut (Image set called Christmas Noel).

I dry embossed one of the layers of the poinsettia with a Cuttlebug embossing folder before adding Stickles to the petals.

The sentiment is by Hero Arts; I heat embossed it in gold and then colored in the frame with a mixture of paint and chalk. The ric rack is from my mother-in-law‘s stash.

Thanks for looking.

December Calendat Layout Pink Christmas

Before:

Above is the before and below is the after. I felt like it needed something more. I could have done a title but didn’t think of it. The embellishment isn’t that big of a difference but it enabled me to use one of the many baby stickers that I have. The patterned paper is pink color that matches two of their tops.
The borders are by K and Co.

And after:

Thanks for stopping by.

Manly Monday Simple Christmas card

I recycled the image/sentiment from a Christmas card and then matted it onto another recycled piece of packaging. The next layer is a journal card by…My Mind’s Eye. The background paper is by Creative Memories. Thanks for looking.

Floral Friday Coral Floral Card

The patterned papers are by My Mind’s Eye, Cosmo Cricket, Basic Gray. The sentiment by Hero Arts is stamped onto a Martha Stewart label sticker. The flowers are by Prima and brads probably from Making Memories.

Papers are same as above. The sentiment stamp by Hero Arts is stamped with Versa Fine black ink on a scrap of paper that has powdered chalk on it. It punched out beautifully using an oval punch by Marvy. The sentiment stands out from the white flowers most of which are by Prima. Thanks for looking.

The above photo is the rough draft of the 2nd card. I like what I went with. Thanks for looking.

Craft Roulette Fabric Wreath card

I have another fabric card to join the many others that I have made. These are squares of fabric that my Mother cut out for her potholders. She had heat and bond on the back so once I inherited them all I had to do was iron them onto the paper of my choice. This time it was a Spellbinders die cut. Then the background paper is by Creative Memories. The gold papers by Sizzix are supposed to resemble a present.

As you read in the title, this card is for my new obsession called Craft Roulette. Check out the video that I linked below.

Craft Roulette 192 parameters were: a thank you card. I thank my Mom for cutting these out for me to use after she was gone. Colors-Farmers Market. Our farmers have apple farms, hence the green and red. Yard-the green in my wreath looks like grass . Confetti-the red berries in the wreath but now that I look at it the confetti could be the patterned paper.

Check out Craft Roulette on Fridays and then on they have a show on Tuesday.
