Eggs in a row card for Terry

The egg stamps are by SNP and the sentiment is by Stamps of Life. I masked off the eggs so they looked behind each other. It then colored them in with Copic markers. I stenciled the background and added a ribbon to the side. Thanks for looking.

Floral Friday Sunflower card with Scraps of paper card

Sunflowers are my favorite flower. I found this image in my bin and matched it up with this background that was in another bin.
I found it colored it in with chalk and decided to enhance it with Smooch inks. Super old products. But it did the trick.
I'm entering this card into Pattie's Creation Design Challenge: Autumn/Fall

Thanks for looking.

Manly Monday Picture Perfect Card.

I made this card with leftover pieces that I found and brought together. The sunshine rays in the background are a stencil. The trees are the negative of a tree die cut by Gina Marie. The frame is a negative of a die cut rectangle. All of those things have been inked with distress ink. The washi tape is by We R Memory Keepers.

I tried to color the dimensional adhesive foam behind the layers with my Copic markers.

Thanks for looking

Happy Fall Pumpkin

The pumpkin in a barrel stamp is no longer available. Many years ago (2012 is my guess) I colored these images in with paint and powdered chalk.
Happy Fall is unknown.

The patterned papers from Left to Right:
My Little Shoe Box
Provo Craft
K and Co.

For this second card, I stamped the background with some small leaf stamps and Antique Linen Distress ink. Everything was inked with distress ink. The sentiment was white heat embossed. The pumpkin and background stamps and powdered chalk are by a company no longer in business.

23rd Wedding Anniversary

Yup, you read it correctly, I've been married for 23 years. That means I have had my married name longer than my maiden name.
I'm sharing some layouts that I have finished in the past month.

These are my in-laws. Stampin' Up paper and border by Martha Stewart

Pocket page on the other side

They put the wedding announcement in multiple papers back in 1961.

I used some October Afternoon patterned paper and borders by Martha Stewart for the pocket page

This next one is my MIL's younger sister.
Patterned paper by Colorbok called Wild Roses
The sewed on the vellum behind the bride which made a pocket for the invitation.
Note to self, don't use vellum as a pocket. It is more likely to rip.
I need to add the date somewhere

The heart brad allows the invite to hinge and show the reception card.

My FIL is the best man at this wedding. The kids called him uncle Paul
Patterned paper from the same as above.
Letter Stamps from Stampin Up
Border punch by EK Success.
Small die-cuts on each said are by Cricut. There is also a brown sticker that covers the seam. The love paper is by Making Memories (I think)
It is the pocket for the invitation.
I laminated the invitation and left a border so I could cut a slit on the top.
I put a die-cut through that slit and folding it in half.
I stamped the "Two Shal Become One" on one side.
Then, I adhered the two halves of the die-cut together making it pull out mechanism.
In time, it will probably rip but it looks cute now.

SNP Pink with Red Love heart card

I used stamps are by Stampin Plus Scrappin for the large heart and Lawn Fawn for the smaller heart along the border of the red cardstock.
I used the Stampin Up white pigment ink for those hearts.
The sentiment is by letter stamps with the word love that goes back and forth with black then red.
The patterned paper is by Bazzill.
The red paper is a scrap.
The glitter paper behind the rose heart is by Die Cuts with a View

Thanks for looking

St. Patrick's Day Layouts

I used shamrock stamp by SNP (no longer in business)
Inside each shamrock, I stamped Lawn Fawn alphabet stamps letter with the month and year.
The graduation paper is by Karen Foster.
I sewed around the edges of the paper and created a pocket for the commencement program and a few other things.

The shamrock was the mascot of the East Detroit High School.
This was their newspaper and my MIL was news editor.
Again I made a pocket by sewing the edges. I
laminated the article and then that's her senior picture.

Stretch Your Stamps 2 Day 5 Sheri

This card is based on Sheri Carroll's paper piecing and layering those pieces with dimensional adhesive. The stamp is by Inkadinkado which I colored with some with Copic markers. I love the polka dot patterned paper in the center. The green paper is patterned paper that I colored with the Copics which was a little different from what I normally do.

The sentiment is by Sweet Stamp Shop in the Easily Distracted stamp set. I inked some white cardstock and covered it with gold embossing powder by Stamp N Plus. Then I took the stamp and stamped the embossing powder to remove the powder around that stamp. Then I heat embossed the area.

Thanks for looking.

Stretch Your Stamps 2 Day 2 Kathy

Today's new card was inspired by the Stretch Your Stamps 2 card class tutorial by the fabulous Kathy Racoosin at The Daily Marker. She used her Faber Cassell gelatos to color in her background stamp. I only have one gelato in the blue but I do have and used a yellow and green pens by Faber Castell to use which is something new for me to work/play with. I tell you that because she opened my mind to break outside the box (for this technique I would have used my Distress Markers) and use something different. Yeah! Love that about this class.

I loved this background so much and I wasn't sure if I would follow her card example so I took a picture of it once I got some color down. The stamp is by Hero arts and I stamped it with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder by Stamp N Plus. At first I had a little trouble seeing the pattern I needed to color because I never looked at that image that way before. I figured it out but it was an eye opening experience.

Come to find out the Faber Cassell markers mix well with water. To apply the color to the paper I scribbled some out on my craft sheet and picked it up with my water pen by Ranger.

There were some squares in the pattern that I left white but I couldn't leave it like that. I added sparkle to each square with a clear Wink of Stella pen.

I ended up following her squares for my card design but didn't do the window card. This actually a heavy card because there are so many layers of cardstock. I personally love it that way and the color combo is a favorite of mine. The sentiment is a Just rite stamp that I stamped with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with blue embossing powder by Stamp N Plus.

Manly Monday Open Sea

Welcome back to the late edition of Manly Monday.
My card was created with the Stampin Up set Open Sea. I acquired the frame from a friend getting rid of her stuff and decided to turn blah plain white into a colored window out to sea. I heat embossed the ledger-type stamp in the set with Versa Mark ink and Ranger copper embossing powder. Then I used distress ink and an ink blender to make the frame brown. The boat is stamped with black Hero Arts ink onto watercolor paper. I then used a light blue distress ink combination for the sky, such as Tumbled Glass and Stormy Sky, and for the water, I used Broken China.
The card base is by Recollections and I inked the edges with more distress ink. {I love distress ink-can you tell?} The sentiment is cut from my Cricut and the cartridge Life's a Beach. I then painted it the different shades of color with a mixture of powdered chalk and paint both by Stamp N Plus.
That's it for today's card. Thanks for stopping by.

I have a fabulous lineup for tonight. Three of them are using my favorite company's images; Kenny K. Click on the blog title and check them out.

Great work ladies. Thank you for letting me share your talent.

Beach Ball Sassy with Sunray stenciled background for the Chalk Ah Lot Challenge

Today marks week 4 for the challenge at Chalk-Ah-Lot
Anything goes with chalk and we are sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs.

I used Polka Dot Bikini Sassy for my friend card. I colored her in with Copic markers and die-cut her out using a Design Objectives die. The Copic paper is Cryogen cardstock.

The sun rays are a Tim Holtz stencil that I applied Dandy Powdered chalk by Stamp N Plus with a cosmetic wedge. I love the look and can see doing it again if the style sells well.

The card's base is by Recollections as well as the sentiment cardstock die cut. The sentiment is by Stampin Up stamped with Rangers Dusty Concord distress ink. The sentiment die cut is also by Design Objectives and the eyelets-yes old fashion eyelets- are by Making Memories. {Maybe they will make a comeback.}

The ribbon is by American Crafts and the patterned paper is by Stampin Up.
