Hope You are Back on Your Paws Soon Card

I really like this card. I found the dog stamp by Stamp n Plus and colored with Copic markers, in the images drawer. Behind the dog is a Creative Memories sticker. Behind the Creative Memories sticker is a chiffon ribbon. Behind the chiffon ribbon is a white piece of cardstock that was dry embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder, inked with Distress Ink, and sprayed with a gold shimmer spray.

Manly Monday Iris Folding fish card

This is an image from "the drawer". I did this iris folding technique years ago. I made the background with blue Distress ink. I used a Fiskars border punch as a stencil at the top. It created a nice wave. The image is from Stamp N Scrappin. The sentiment is a sticker by Mrs. Grossman. Thanks for looking.

Manly Monday Gingerbread Man Card

Gingerbread man stamp and powdered chalk are by SNP (no longer in business). Perfect pearls for the icing. Spellbinders die-cuts. PP by PinK is by Bazzill and the blue PP is by MME. The word Sweet came from a patterned paper by Recollections and cut out with a Spellbinders die.
Gingerbread man Example
The posts look the same to me but they're not

It is a stretch to make this card Manly Monday but I  just don't have anything else. I'm making calendars and it's time-consuming. Thanks for looking.

Manly Monday Hang in there Frogs. It's only a birthday

The stamp is by Stamp N Plus. I did a second-generation stamping on these two cards. Years ago I colored them in with powdered chalk mixed with paint. I added some Copic markers and colored pencils to make the frogs look more enhanced.
The frog images were too close on the white cardstock to die-cut. So, with the wild theme, I just ripped the paper and inked the edges. The background is a Fiskars embossing plate but I think they had a different name than that. I took a distress ink and went direct to paper and look how fun it is with the lizards, dragonflies, and frogs showing up in white.

This is the inside of the card where I was able to use Cricut's Draw feature. I placed the card base on the mat and it did what it did.

Chalk Heart Anniversary Card

How about a little love this Tuesday.
The border stamp by TPC Studio was heat embossed with white embossing powder.
The heart is from Stamp n Plus (no longer in business) and the powdered chalk that they sold was the stamping medium.
The die-cut leaves were cut out using my Cricut with the draw and cut feature on some Creative Memories greenish colored vellum with a pattern on it.
The pink patterned paper under the border is by Studio G and the pink mat patterned paper is by Sunborn.
I inked the edges with distress ink.
I was going to do a heart pattern stamped background but I didn't care for it. It is visible in the closeup.

Lighthouse card with a stencil background

The stamp by SNP. Sorry, but they are no longer in business. I colored the stamp with distress markers and then stamped it down. The die-cuts are by Sizzix and Spellbinders. I inked the paper with distress ink. The patterned paper is actually a stencil sprayed with Glimmer Mist. Stencil by The Crafters Workshop.

Here's a picture of one part of the background.

Here are a bunch of different looks with this stamp.
Apparently, I like this stamp.

1980 Summertime Pocket Pages Scrapbook layouts

Today’s layout starts with a disclaimer:
For now, the left side layout is plain and needs something before its deemed as finished. It does need some labeling but I’m holding off until I know what I’m going to do with the rest of the page.

I had two ideas and made those ideas into embellishments just as I had envisioned them.
Problem: the embellishments looked good alone but not on the layout.
Sometimes you have leave a layout and come back to it. Time to move on to the next pages. Things will fall into place just not yet.

The other side is my husband’s maternal grandparents 40th wedding anniversary.
The  grandkids were left at Grandma and Grandpa’s house
There’s a picture of them in the top left.
Crazy to me, how that picture was overexposed or something.
You look at that picture and the ground looks like snow. It’s not snow.
Their anniversary was at the end of June and everyone’s attire points to summer or at least warm weather.

The patterned papers are by Me and My Big Ideas
Some labeling stamps by Lawn Fawn
A few label stamps were from SNP, which is no longer in business.

Layering Happy Birthday card

This card has many layers to it so here we go. All of the square die cuts including the label are by Spellbinders. The sentiment stamp and its ink are by Hero Arts. The background cardstock is by Coredinations/Tim Holtz and the sheer ribbon was a scrap.

The flower, if you would call it that, is a Sizzix stamp and die combo. I stamped it with pigment ink by Colorbox, let it dry and die cut it out with the matching die. I put the flower on foam squares before adding it to the rectangle. I'm impressed with how nicely the die cut came out. Usually, my stamp/die combos take a bunch of tries to get them aligned.

The blue frame square was made previously, that's code for a really long time ago, and I kept it because there was a chunk of this background piece that was still a good size to use on a later project. Now why I kept the negative of this square die cut will never be known but to my advantage today the colors worked out well. The watercolor paper by Ranger was covered with powdered chalk mixed with water and an iridescent white paint all of which were by Stamp N Plus, a company I worked for but is no longer in business.

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look at this long post for just one little card.

Secretaries Day Just for You Card

I made this tag in 2014  and if you look at this post you can see I removed the Miss You sentiment. I don't send many Miss You type cards but I liked the tag. So I offed the sentiment label and used the tag for a Secretaries Day card. It worked well because the tag has dimension and the card is square. Perfect qualities for a hand delivered card rather than one that goes through the mail.

My new sentiment is by Lawn Fawn and is on dahlia die cut by Spellbinders. The purple background cardstock is by Coordinations and was dry embossed. Then I ran an emery board over the embossing to reveal the white like core of the paper.

Butterfly Best Wishes card

I bought this stamp off of Etsy many years ago and I found this paper with it already stamped with black ink and colored in with colored pencils. Then I fussy cut the image. The polka dot paper is a Project Life Card. The grid paper is by Elle’s Studio. The sentiment is by Stamp N Plus. I punched out a few squares and then cut them in half to make corners.

Flower Basket Birthday Card

Today's card is a remodel. It was a Mother's Day card that I converted into a birthday card. It had this huge pearl brad in it that would never go through the machine at the post office. HERE is the original card where you can see a products list.

Here's what I did to revamp it. The Mother's Day label was not coming off without taking the green cardstock with it. I really wasn't that interested in tearing the whole card down more just change those few elements. So I covered up the the longer Elle's label with a smaller one from the same pack (Is it sad that I still have the same pack of labels that I did from 2013?) I layered the die cut "happy" by Clearly Besotted over the two labels in brown. As I look at the card, I'm not really impressed with the color of the sentiment but it's done and I'm sure no one in my family will say anything.

For the inside of the card, I used a brown label from the same pack of labels. The sentiment is by Stamping Scrapping in brown Stampin Up ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

The patterned paper is by Colorbok and I've wrapped gold Martha Stewart cording around the bottom of it. The embossing folder is by Darice. I covered the white cardstock with gold powdered chalk also by Stamp N Plus.
