Saturday's Rock!

I'm so happy that it's the weekend except when my husband reminds me that the weekend is not a time to get off my schedule. Boo! to him. Sucking the fun out of staying up late and sleeping in. So he tells me I have to be in bed by 1:30. Guess that means no more babbling and on with the cards.

This first card is very simple but I do love the butterfly so I had to post it.

In this second card, I used fabric to make the flower and the peace sign is also fabric.
I'm entering this card into the challenge at Patties Creations(F)-Birthday

Off white Bday and TY

Love to do blocking on my cards. It just adds such a clean feel to the design. I won this lovely stamp made by La Blanche. I used distress inks Frayed Burlap on all the edges and for the stamp too. The flower in white is by SEI. I use wax paper and my blending tool from Ranger to ink my edges. The ink that was on the wax paper and a dab from the Tea Dye ink pad sprayed with water was the source of my ink for the flower. I just took the stamp and smeared it around the wet mess on my wax paper and stamped the image onto white cardstock. I hope that makes sense. That is how I got the flower to look the way it is.
Other supplies include: Cuttlebug dry embossing, ribbon by Queen and Co and HB stamp by ES.
I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
Aud Sentiments(W#35)-Anything Goes
Craft us Crazy(W#15)-Anything Goes
Paper Crafting Journey(TH#17)-Anything Goes
Fresh Brewed Designs(W#61)-Emboss it

This second card is a different dimension than I normally do. It's almost 6 inches by 4 inches. The stamps I used on this card are by Fiskars. The chipboard sentiment is by SEI with black and white cardstock by Pioneer and grey CS by SU.
I'm entering this card into the challenge at Paper Pretties to create your own background paper.

Thanks for stopping by. I have to go to bed. I have a busy Friday ahead of me. God Bless!!

Blue Wednesday

I'm not really blue/sad I just feel odd. Some may say that is normal for me but I don't listen to them anymore. I guess it's more of an unmotivated feeling that I have today. I can't make a decision. Am I hot or cold? Do I clean up my desk or just continue to place the keyboard on top of the stuff? Do I spend hours on end on the computer or work my paper magic? Do I do all the things other people want me to do for them or do what I want but what is it I want to do? Honestly I want to go back to sleep and wake up in my old life when I liked what I was doing and life wasn't so uncertain. That's probably asking too much.
I think I will clean my table first and see what's underneath the keyboard for me to play with. It's a small mystery just like everything else in my life.

Have a fabulous day and I will see you tomorrow with something new.

Cupcakes, Coffee and Tea

This cute little cupcake is fabric my mom gave me. I just love how easily it runs through the Xyron machine for  a sticky back. I'd never run fabric through my machine. New to me. I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
Simon says Stamp(W)-Food or drink

This next card is making me angry. It looks so blurry once I put it on blogger but it's clear in my photo editing software. grrr. Maybe my glasses are dirty. Anyway.
This lovely image is by Robyn's Fetish at I Did it Creations. Every Tuesday Susan has a post on the IDIC blog where she posts cards sent to her that feature Robyn's Fetish images. I think what she's doing is so awesome and wanted to tell you about it. If you win a Robyn's Fetish image from somewhere, and she is sponsoring all over the place in blog land, use your won image on a project and then send a picture of your project to Susan to post on Tuesday. If you do so, you receive another free image. What a deal and a great way to build up a collection of free images.
Robyn is also having a sale of 20% off her entire stock of images and papers until the end of the month. HERE is a link

My lovely niece is having her 18th birthday today. In honor of her I am going to post a few layouts I just made for her graduation book.
This first one is 1994 when she was an infant. PP by Three Bugs; border sticker by Doodlebug; twill by Karen Foster; brad UK; journal box 3 bugs and label die cut by ES.

Some of the PP in this Christmas layout are by DCWV; letter stamps by SU; ribbon by OF; brads UK and tabs by Colorbok.

These pictures of the layouts aren't the best-sorry.

Shaped bicycle card

This week at I Did it Creations the challenge is to make a shaped card. I had this card base by Studio G from Michael's that I have wanted to use for a while. With my Cricut I cut two different size scalloped circles off the Storybook cartridge using papers from Provo Craft and DCWV. I used distressing inks on the edges of both  and adhered them so the gray was poking out behind the red. The image by Robyn's Fetish is colored in using Copic markers. Patterned paper behind the image is by Sonburn with distressing ink Pumice Stone on the edges. The sentiment letter stamps is by Lawn Fawn.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
