Cousins Layout with a Banner

When it comes to blogging, I'm putting too much pressure on myself. I have 70+ drafts in my blogger account that I can post but haven't because I haven't completed the written portion where I talk about the project.
The pictures are there but for most, that's it. Therefore, for the next little while, I will be chatting less in order to post more. I may not even give a supply list. Anyway, this was a calendar layout that I repurposed to make a 2-page layout for my nephew's graduation scrapbook. The title banner has a little bit to it. The pennants were cut out using Cricut, then sprayed with Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels and inked with distress ink. Finally, the alphabet letter stickers are by Making Memories. The years, the left side is a stickers by SRM and the right side is a die-cut that I welded the white cardstock 2010 together using the font Don Juan and my Cricut. The patterned paper on the left is by Stampin Up and the paper on the right is by Imaginisice. On the left side layout there is a strip of words between the two pictures that is from Imaginisce.
<ClicK> Have you ever thought, why did they call their company Tattered Angels, SRM- what does that stand for, Lawn Fawn, Basic Grey, Cosmo Cricket, Bug-a-Boo stamps, Echo Park, Spellbinders, studio Calico, Sizzix, Bazzill. I could go on. But I won’t. If you think of other company names please leave in the comments OR if you know why or where do these companies come from leave me a comment. I have three examples of company names that I can’t understand.
Colorbox has closed and Colorbok LLC

Easter basket cards

For today's three cards, I used the same basket stamp from a dollar basket at Michael’s (no pun intended). I colored it in with colored pencils and Copic markers. I inked the edges with yellow distress ink. And then adhered it to the card with a piece of foam in order to be the height of the chipboard corner pieces that are by Making Memories. The patterned paper is by Scrap Happy.

The second card, the die cut is by Sizzix with ribbon by Offray weaved thru the holes on the scallop edges of the oval scallop die-cut to create this image. Something different for me but kind of cute. The patterned paper is by Doodlebug.
For the third card, I used patterned paper by Imaginisice and a border sticker by Doodlebug. Besides the cardstock from my stash, that’s all for this card.
I included this picture of all three cards made with the same stamp. The comparison is interesting to see the different looks you can achieve with the same stamp.
Quick side note on card bases: I’m disappointed in the card stock used on the third's card base. The card will not stay standing up. It just slides open.
I hate to say it and pay for it but it’s time to invest in a heavier weight card stock for my horizontal card bases.

Triple the card for my Cousin Marcia

I made this card for my cousin when she bought a new house, got married and it was her birthday. Three sides of the card base are covered and I wrote my message on the back.

This was the outside of the card. The window die cut is by Spellbinders out of old packaging, patterned paper by K and Co. chandelier stamp by Lawn Fawn, sentiment stamp by Just Rite Stamps and ink by Hero Arts.

Then you open the card and the wedding card is on the left and birthday on the right. For the wedding card: Wedding bells stamp by Embossing Arts Co. from 1993. I think this was my first stamp. Heat embossed with silver embossing powder, die cut by Spellbinders, distress ink inside and Stickles on the bells. The patterned paper is by Making Memories, sentiment stamp by Stampendous and ribbon by Imaginisce.

The birthday card: I repurposed this card because after I stopped selling my cards I found that I had too many Mother's Day cards. This card was easy to take apart and by removing the bulky flower it enabled me to do the triple folding I wanted to do.

Deep Red Stamp Plaid background stamp

with Cantaloupe ink by Hero Arts. Mat black cardstock behind stamped image so it shows through on the sides but not the top and bottom. Die cut border using Cricut and the Ribbons and Rosettes cartridge out of peach cardstock by Bazzill. Trim border and adhere to the white stamped piece before adhering panel to the card base. Adhere a chipboard purse by Imaginicse to the center.

Yellow Flower Birthday Cards

This first is a birthday card that was previously posted and can see it HERE. I altered this card because the sentiment was adhered with foam squares that started to cave in and bent the cardstock. The new sentiment is by TPC Studio.

This card was published as a Mother's Day card. The background is a small Fiskars stamp that I stamped multiple times with Colorbox chalk ink. The flower closest to the base is a Sizzix die painted with Scattered Straw crackle paint by Ranger. On top of that is a Stampin' Up punch and on top of that is a Sasafrass sticker. The sentiment stamp is  by......idk but I do know that the label it's on is by Martha Stewart.

Thanks so much for looking.

Smiley Flower Cards

I started making this card by background stamping the Hero Arts stamp with pink Colorbox pigment ink. After it dried, I inked the edges with distress ink and added a piece of pink cardstock to the center.

The flower in the center is a Stampin Up stamp that I colored in with distress markers before fussy cutting it out. I layered the stamped flower on top of an Imaginisce flower and then to a The Paper Studio flower. The fancy die cut in white cardstock is by Lifestyle Crafts. I then stamped the sentiment by Fiskars with Ranger purple ink.

This card uses the same stamp that I colored with Copic Markers. I layered the stamp onto two Creative Memories paper flowers. The patterned paper is unknown and I think the border is a Cricut cut.

Flowery Birthday Girl Card

I'm so very behind on everything.
I'm not sure where my days go.
I'm not sure why everything takes so long.
I'm not sure where the easy button is.

I do know this, my blog is being neglected.
I need to work on better time management.

Oh well...
For my card today,
I stamped a Stampin Up flower stamp with Colorbox ink and let the ink dry before cutting it out with the matching die. I layered the flower on top of a Imaginisce flower and onto a flower like die cut. The die cut is from the Cricut cartridge Elegant Edges cut out with paper by Sunborn and Bazzill. The brad in the center of the layered flowers is by We R Memory Keepers. The left side patterned paper is unknown but the birthday girl patterned paper is by Jillibean Soup.

Be Merry with Spellbinders Dahlia Border Christmas Card

Today's Christmas card uses up some odds and ends on my table. The left side border is made of the Dahlia Spellbinders die out of different cardstocks and a few patterned papers. I just layered them on top of each other before adding some punches. The top and bottom Christmas trees are by unknown punches and the center tree is a stamp by Clear Dollar Stamps (I think is out of business other than digital stamps).

I stamped the tree with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I punched it out with a circle punch (Marvy) and inked it with distress ink. I then sprayed the circle with water mixed with Perfect Pearls.

The sentiment is a stamp by Imaginisce with red SU ink. I inked the edges and matted it onto a scrap of green patterned paper.

Halloween ATC's

I made these ATC's (Artist Trading Cards) for a Halloween swap. On each of the ATC's I made a spooky background by adding distress ink onto a Dreamweaver Stencils tree stencil. The patterned papers are all scraps that came from companies like: Imaginisce, Making Memories and K and Co. The orange paper is by C Gull and has been inked by different colored distress inks. The haunted houses, bats and small children by pumpkins are these vintage die cuts by Eureka that I found in my MIL's craft totes. The stamps are by Stampin Up-a bat stamp and the sentiment stamp with black ink by Hero Arts.

I used a Prickley Pear Zombie stamp and black Hero Arts ink on this set of ATC's. On two of them I die cut a headstone border for the background. The lantern stamp is by Inkadinkado.

Be Merry Card

I have a Christmas card to show you today. I die cut the snowman from the Winter Woodland Cricut cartridge using scraps. I do know the greenish colored patterned paper in the hat and scarf is by Making Memories. The blue background paper is by Color-Aid, the green circle patterned paper is by Deja Views-it's very old and then the sentiment is an Imaginisce stamp in green Memento Ink. Now that I look at the snowman more I believe the blue patterned paper is by Deja Views. I think I will add some black ink to form some eyes. Maybe.

Easter Cross Cards

I have a bunch of Easter cards for you today. They were so similar that it seemed silly to break them up. They all use the background paper by K and Co and purple cardstock by Sunborn. They all have a border stamps by TPC Studio, and the digital images were all colored in with powdered chalk mixed with paint by Stamp N Plus.

This first card I used the Creative Memories cutting system to create the oval and shadow on the cross. The egg shape with the sentiment is a Cricut cut from the cartridge Cricut Font and Basic Shapes under the Funky Shapes tag. The sentiment is by Stamp N Plus and it and the border stamp were stamped with Stampin Up Chocolate Chip ink. The cross digital image is by SGT Stamper but I could not find her on the web to give her credit. If you know something I don't about this company or person please let me know.

This next card features a cross by Robyn's Fetish. I went a little different color scheme with this one and I like how it turned out. Sometimes different can be good. The peach paper was in my stash but I do know the green cardstock is by CM. The sentiment is a SRM Sticker on one of those little Spellbinders die cuts that you never know what to do with. One last thing on this one is the border is stamped with purple Staz On ink.

This card the digital image cross is not identified in my files. In fact I can't find it in my files anywhere. I have a horrible digital image system that I've been trying to clean up for years and have been unsuccessful. If you know who made this cross digital stamp please let me know so I can give credit to that person.

This semi circle was cut with CM cutting system and then stamped with the border stamp with SU Lavender Lace ink. The purple cardstock behind the image and that of the egg is by Recollections. The Easter sentiment stamp is by Imaginisce on Oriental Trading Co kraft paper.

Thank you so much for looking. and have a great rest of your day.
