Manly Monday Life is Short Mix things up Wobbler card

I made this card for, you guessed Craft Roulette episode 210

The parameters were:

Project: Include action 

Colors: Northern Lights 

Element: Blackboard 

Random: Oval

Here is my card on Craft Roulette’s website.

I dry embossed white cardstock with a Tim Holtz splatter folder. I messed up the embossed side so I flipped it over and used the debossed. Someone said, “there’s two sides to every paper”.

 I sprayed the debossed side with Dylusions white Linen Shimmer spray by Ranger and then while it was wet I took a soft bristle paint brush and started brushing the chalk all over it. The spray dried quickly so I had to move fast but still ended up doing it three times. I also dry embossed the top of the mixer die cut and  addd chalk to it too. I wanted it to look like the mixer exploded.

The shimmer paper is by Sizzix. The blackboard paper was a fuzzy texture but not obvious so it worked for me. It’s stamped with chalk ink by Colorbox. I lined the edge of the box with a white gel pen and then smeared it.

 Lastly, the black die cut is by Spellbinders and the white die is by Creative Expression. I forgot to mention that the blender was colored with Copic markers.

April Calendar Layout Sunflowers and Audrey

The green patterned paper is by Sunborn. The green cardstock is the other side of that patterned paper. The woodgrain patterned paper is by Pebbles. 

The sunflower stamp is by Stampin Up. I added gold and bronze Perfect Pearls to the flower and fussy cut it out. I stamped the leaf in a green ink by SU. 

For the blue sky, I used distress ink as the base and then added some translucent paint mixed with a powdered chalk which is like Perfect Pearls.

I imagined the patterned paper look like tall green leaves and the woodgrain look like the steps.

Floral Friday Christmas Cricut Slimline card

Slimline cards are a challenge for me. I feel like there’s so much wasted space yet if you fill it up, it’s just too much. 

The background patterned paper is by Bo Bunny.  The poinsettia is a Cricut die cut (Image set called Christmas Noel).

 

I dry embossed one of the layers of the poinsettia with a Cuttlebug embossing folder before adding Stickles to the petals.

The sentiment is by Hero Arts; I heat embossed it in gold and then colored in the frame with a mixture of paint and chalk. The ric rack is from my mother-in-law‘s stash.

Happy Dog image colored in with Chalk card

The patterned paper by Moxxie on the bottom and My Mind's Eye on the top. I cut the image and the mat behind it with my trimmer and rounded the corners with a Creative Memories edge rounder. There's a border between the two papers and it is by Martha Stewart. The digital image is by Robyn's Fetish and colored in with powdered chalk mixed with white pearl paint both by Stampin N Plus. Then I came in with colored pencils to finish and add shadows. Thanks for looking.

Manly Monday Gingerbread Man Card

Gingerbread man stamp and powdered chalk are by SNP (no longer in business). Perfect pearls for the icing. Spellbinders die-cuts. PP by PinK is by Bazzill and the blue PP is by MME. The word Sweet came from a patterned paper by Recollections and cut out with a Spellbinders die.

Floral Friday Sunflower card with Scraps of paper card

Sunflowers are my favorite flower. I found this image in my bin and matched it up with this background that was in another bin.
I found it colored it in with chalk and decided to enhance it with Smooch inks. Super old products. But it did the trick.

Manly Monday Picture Perfect Card.

I made this card with leftover pieces that I found and brought together. The sunshine rays in the background are a stencil. The trees are the negative of a tree die cut by Gina Marie. The frame is a negative of a die cut rectangle. All of those things have been inked with distress ink. The washi tape is by We R Memory Keepers. 

I tried to color the dimensional adhesive foam behind the layers with my Copic markers.

Floral Friday Sunflower Border Cards

The sunflower border is from a friend. I colored it in with regular chalk.
The patterned paper is by Tim Holtz.
The sentiment is by Bo Bunny. I white heat embossed it.

I used the Same pad of Tim Holtz paper for the circle. The background paper and paper behind the border are by Basic Grey

Happy Fall Pumpkin

The pumpkin in a barrel stamp is no longer available. Many years ago (2012 is my guess) I colored these images in with paint and powdered chalk.

For this second card, I stamped the background with some small leaf stamps and Antique Linen Distress ink. Everything was inked with distress ink. The sentiment was white heat embossed. The pumpkin and background stamps and powdered chalk are by a company no longer in business.

Paper Smooches Snowman Card

Remember when I said I wasn't going to be so chatty on my blog...hmm. The problem is I just get to "talking" to people that love what I love and then I have a hard time stopping. 

I'm trying to get cards/layouts/projects out of drafts, which sounds easy but...I'm not 100% sure that they weren't blogged about. I really don't want to have something posted twice on my blog so I take the time to do a little searching.

Anyway, 

The stamp is by Paper Smooches and I heat embossed it in black and colored it in with powdered chalk mixed with paint.

The sentiment in the left lower corner is a rub-on with included rhinestones from K and Co.

The die-cuts are by Spellbinders. I inked the inside of the white rectangle die-cut before removing the paper from the die.

Corner die-cuts might be a punch (?).

The green glitter polka dot patterned paper is by Doodlebug. 

The background paper is originally white with clear heat embossed snowflakes all around it. I thought it better to ink that paper with blue distress ink to bring the snowflakes to life.

>My guess is I made the 2 snowmen images at the same time but did not put them together onto a card at the same time.

I think the similar way the image was heat embossed and colored in with chalk, then die-cutting with the inking inside the rectangle leads me to believe that.

5 Different Snowmen Cards

This is a longer post with different snowmen images. The description of each card is under the photo. Enjoy.

I love this snowman card because the snowman stamp by Close to My Heart is so playful. The green die cut is by Dreamweaver Stencils, and the polka dot glitter paper is by Doodlebug. This embossing folder is by Spellbinders, and I stamped snowflakes in each square of the dry embossed.

Next, I used a snowman stamp from 1998 by Designs by Trena Hegdahl for Westwater Enterprises.

 I colored it in with chalk mixed with paint before cutting it out with a die by Spellbinders. To get the color inside the die cut, I added distress ink with an ink blending tool while the paper was still inside the die. The patterned paper is by Bazzill.

The sentiment is a heavy brass embellishment by The Paper Studio and is held down with brads

For this next card, I used one of my Mom’s fabric squares.

The background is a recycled card.

The scalloped die cut behind the snowman is by Spellbinders and the red scalloped die cut is from eBay. 

In the cards above, I upcycled snowmen images from two different store-bought cards. On the left, I stamped the white background with snowflakes. And then I cut a red cardstock square into triangles.

For the card on the right, I added the snowman onto a scalloped rectangle die cut by Spellbinders. I placed some red rick-rack down the center of a piece of blue cardstock that is dry embossed with an embossing folder by Spellbinders before adding the snowman on top.

The last card is my Elsa card that I finally finished up. She doesn’t need a post of her own. 

The patterned paper is by The Paper Studio and Carter’s Bella.

Colored with Copic markers, with some white paint on her cape. 

The sentiment came with the set of images.

Red Chalk Circles for Thinking of you cards

Deep Red stamps Heart card

I stamped the 

Deep Red Stamp Heart with Roses

Onto white cardstock with black ink and colored in with Copic markers. The red paper is powdered chalk mixed with paint and painted onto white cardstock. The polka dot paper in the background is a bunch of scraps that pieced together. I inked all of the papers with distress ink.

Deep Red Stamps Chalk Butterfly card

I really love this card. The butterfly is by Deep Red Stamps. I colored it in with chalks by Stampin Up. I matted pink cardstock behind it and adhered it to a pre-made square card base. Then I outlined the image with Washi tape by Stampin Up.

Deep Red Stamps Corset Card

I stamped the Deep Red Stamps Corset with black ink onto white cardstock and colored it in with colored pencils and chalk. I sprayed it with a fixative by Krylon. The papers are from my stash and the flowers from Martha Stewart.

Deep Red Stamps Butterfly Birthday

Start with white pre-made card base 4 x 5 ½  by Recollections and adhere to it piece of purple cardstock. The background cardstock is full of Jolee’s flower stickers.On white cardstock stamp the Deep Red Stamps Butterfly Flourish (sku 4x505621) in black Hero Arts ink and color in with chalks. Once dry iron the paper to flatten it out before adhering it to black cardstock. Adhere the image to the front of the card and add the two stickers near the bottom.

For You Chalk Markers Card

I made this card using Chalk Markers by Chalk Ola. I started by painting the chipboard with chalkboard paint by Plaid. I used the marker over a stencil by Tim Holtz. The sentiment is a die by Lawn Fawn out of white Recollections cardstock. The green cardstock is a scrap from my stash and the black is by Recollections.

Deep Red Stamps Dress cards

Today I have two similar cards to share using a dress stamp by Deep Red Stamps that you can find at

I heat embossed each dress with Versa Mark ink and silver embossing powder by Hero Arts. Then I colored the dress in with powdered chalk mixed with white paint. It's a very soft pink color which matched the patterned paper by Making Memories. I die cut the image out with a Spellbinders die and then added Stickles to the flowers. The heart die cut is by Lawn Fawn and the rub-on sentiment is by Kaisercrafts. The grey cardstock is from Joann's.

For my second card, I fussy cut the dress out instead of using a die cut. I stamped the Stampin Up sentiment with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it in silver. I punched the sentiment out using an EK Success punch as well as the next largest circle out of the grey cardstock from Joann's. The ribbon is by Fiskars.
