It's Your Day...Thinking of you-Orange and Yellow Card

The sentiment stamps are by Stamps for Life. They are made to curve like the words on top. I wanted to surround the flower with the sentiment. So, I curved the stamp in my MISTI to match my needs.
The matching die-cut and stamp set is by Sizzizx.
The rectangle is by Lawn Fawn.
The patterned paper is by Basic Grey and My Mind's Eye

Borders, Dry Embossing and an Epoxy Sentiment Card

So yesterday was my 24th wedding anniversary. Crazy to think that I am old enough to have been married that long. Fitting for the occasion I have an anniversary card to show you today. The sentiment is an epoxy sticker in a set of baby stickers. The die-cut is by Sizzix(I think). The yellow circle in the center is an image from a single small embossing folder by Cuttlebug. I punched it out with a circle punch from CM. The border dies are by Spellbinders. The patterned paper is from my stash.

Today is a great day to post a card that says, love.
My biggest fan who loved everything I made, she died on this day in 2019.
My Mom. most of the time she was lovingly known as Beth. Liz. Lizzy. Lizard. Grandma. And our favorite, “Grandma Wizz”. A name was given to her by her youngest granddaughter that couldn’t say, Liz. The irony was my Mom always had to pee. I disliked when my Mom would say she had to go to the “Pee Palace”. SMH in embarrassment.
There are loving memories of her that have been floating around in my head. They make me smile more and not as sad as they once did.
May she Rest In Peace.

Bright Red Hello card

Sometimes I look at my blog posts by scrolling down until it prompts me to the next page. If the posts run together with a lack of distinction, it makes me consider the colors of each post and if I'm posting the same colored projects all in a row.

This card will stand out from the recent posts.
The sentiment stamp is by TPC Studio. I stamped it and I cut it out the regular scissors.

The flower die-cut is by My Mind's Eye
The white flower and yellow square die-cuts are by Spellbinders

The pink paper with stripes is by Scenic Route.

I cut the edges of that paper using decorative scissors. The corners don't line up but it's handmade and adds to its charm.

I really don't know if this card has been blogged about yet.
It was made in 2020.
I've looked and IDT it has been.
Silly as this will sound,
this card has crossed my path so many times. I can't help but think that it's telling me that it hasn't been blogged.

The die-cut borders are by Spellbinders

The patterned papers are by Creative Memories and Paper Pizzazz

Up cycling Grandma's card

When we would visit Grandma in Detroit she would give me all of the cards she had received. Including my own.

She would have been 101 today. She passed from Covid last October. She once told me that she just wanted to make it 100 and she did. Such a sweet lady and I got to spend 4 days with her in 2017. I learned a lot. She even let me tape her talking. Idt if any family members know that I have those recordings. That's what makes them even dearer to my heart.

This card was easy to alter. All I had to do was change the sentiment.

The brads are the type with the ability to put ribbon or in this case, I did lace through them.

Here's a picture of those brads.

Manly Monday Christmas card

My card is a masculine Christmas card for the challenge at

The sentiment tag and the middle border sticker is from We R Memory Keepers.

The die-cut tag underneath is one from my stash. I painted it brown to give it a rustic look for a man.

There’s a brad at the top of the tag and the bow is green jute by Tim Holtz.
This card screams guy card. Brad. A bow (tie). And a dude named Tim Holtz

The patterned paper is by Bazzill.

Pool Pictures in Arizona 2011 Scrapbook Layout

I wanted to do a more creative layout that used some mixed media for my nephew's scrapbook because the layouts were all looking the same. Spice it up a little bit.

So, I used embossing paste and a stencil for the waves at the bottom. See my reaction below the photos.

The stencil is by The Crafters Workshop.
Embossing paste by Dreamweaver Stencils.
The colored powder, called Fx Metalic powder was used to make the paste green and blue.

The alphabet stamps are by Close to my Heart.

The vellum sentiment on the net is from Creative Memories.

The Cricut cuts:
>Large volleyball net
>Arizona
>Shorts (draw and cut)
and
>Goggles

The patterned paper is by Colorbok

Here's the background that I made. I hate it. I didn't use the powder correctly.
It's ugly but I used it because of all the time and effort I put into it.

To lessen the ugly background, I covered it with some die cuts. I love the die-cuts because they are so cute and appropriate but that made the layout too busy.

Here's the other side of the pool layout. It doesn't match at all and maybe that plays a part in why I dislike the pool page.
Some of the patterned paper is by Stampin Up.
The fireplace in the corner is a stamp (?) that I colored in with colored pencils.

I have to include my quote,

"It doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to be done"
Cindy Groh

A card for a Young Lady with a blue star background

I made this for a young lady in the family and then forgot to send it.

The yellow paper was dry embossed with a Swiss Dot Cuttlebug embossing folder. I inked it lightly with olive green distress ink.

The little girl image is a digital stamp. I would have to look way into the deepest part of my computer to find out the artist.
I colored her in with Copic markers

The brad is by Creative Imagination.

The die-cut stars are cut out with Quickutz

The patterned paper is by Studio G

Poop Emoji with new embossing folder that cuts too

I think this would be a great belated happy birthday card.
I bought this type of embossing folder that also cuts shapes out of the dry embossing.
It is by Sizzix and they are called Impresslits-cute name. The poop die-cut was made with my Cricut. This card didn't need anything else. The one I used for this card has a square cut out of the middle. It also includes a couple of sentiments and a few other embellishments. I inked the entire dry embossed areas with Distress Oxide ink. I had to find a way to cover the white core of the paper that cracked when it went thru the Gemini to be dry embossed. User error. I wasn't sure of what plates to use together.

Manly Monday Brown handmade background paper cards

The buck stamp is by Close to My Heart and I lightly colored him in with colored pencils. The edges of the image have been inked with distress ink. The sentiment stamp is unknown As you know I’m using up some scraps from my stash and this is mostly made from cardstock but they are a few patterned papers and the companies in this background are by Me and My Big Ideas, Close to my Heart, Tim Holtz, Deja Views, K and Co, The frame around the paper is by Pebbles.

I had to flip the image of the background so that it was in the same direction as the cards.
This next card is my second brown handmade background. It is mostly made of scraps from my stash. The only patterned papers are the farthest left and those are by K and Company and Creative Memories
The lion stamp is by Close to My Heart.
I colored him in with Copic markers and colored pencils and inked the edges of the image with distress ink.
The patterned paper around the image is by Pebbles. I tore the edges of the patterned paper and also inked the edges with distress ink.

Mad Hatter Card

Recently, I watched all of the Alice in Wonderland movies which inspired me to make an Un-Birthday card.

All of the stamps are by Lawn Fawn. I colored the images in with Copic markers. Then with my fingers crossed and a small prayer, I used the matching dies to cut them out.
Well, I'm going with close enough on these cups.

The sentiment is mostly by Lawn Fawn. I wrote in the words: very, Un, and 10/6.

The die-cut-Hat was cut using my Cricut
The duckpin has no significance to the movie. It was just the only pin I had.

The patterned paper is a pre-made card base by K and Co.
IT SUCKS AS A CARD BASE!
You open it, set it on the table, and it slides right down. Grrr!

I could have done something to fix it but I wanted to get it in the mailbox on Monday because I knew the recipient was going away this weekend.
