Prom 1959 Scrapbook Layout

I was so excited to use these prom stickers that have been in my stash for years.
Then look what I did...
Well, for the rest of the layout I used these products:

The white die- cuts behind the photo I cut out using my Cricut.
The patterned paper is by Creative Memories.

I fixed it by placing a zig zag edged chipboard border from Joann’s over the words on the stickers.
From there, I added a white strip of cardstock to the center.
On top of the cardstock are the correct words using Quickutz letters.
In the center of the words, is a Quickutz swirly die cut with a flower in the center.
It’s not perfect but I’m okay with that.

This is the second page and all of the die cuts were cut using my Cricut.

Here are the two layouts side by side as they will be in the book.

Thanks for looking.
I searched my blog for this layout and could not find it. I hate to post duplicates.
Let me know if you see it. Thank you.

So blessed Fall colors Card

Today I have a fall-type card. This card just didn't make it to the blog in the fall. So here it is now. 😀

The kraft cardstock background has been stamped with a canvas background stamp by Stampin Up using yellow-colored Distress Oxide. I'm not a huge fan of distress oxides. However, the color and type of ink were just what I needed for the background.

The sentiment is by Close to my Heart. I put a dimensional adhesive square under the sentiment in the center. The whole piece of the sentiment was too long for the orange paper and I didn't want to cut it because the yellow mat around the sentiment had equal edges...well equal enough for me

Next, I had left-over yellow leaves that were cut with my Cricut and I tried the best I could to tone down those bright yellow leaves with 2 different distress oxide ink. MEH. Good enough because the yellow in the leaves blend well with the sentiment's yellow mat.

The oak leaves are from a Creative Memories punch.

I like the card. It's pretty.
I'm glad I was able to use the oxide inks and come out with a positive experience.
Side Note:
This sentiment by Close to my Heart was stamped at a crop 14 or more years ago. I'm finally making them into cards. If I can find them, I will post links to other cards using the stamps in this set.

No More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed Card

The Facebook group that I am in had a card request for a sick tween.

The die-cut was cut out with my Cricut. I inked the edges with distress ink.
Funny now but not at the time, I lost a banana after I changed the image to a different size. Ugh! Are you kidding me? I was going to go without it but it drove me nuts and I had to find a way to make a new one. You could say it drove me bananas...but it’s not that funny.
The sentiment was also created with my Cricut using my pens. Love that feature.

Cinderella’s Make a Wish Card

Every little girl wants to be a “princess”.
I would ask Kate Middleton what it’s like to be one.
I don’t think it’s what little girls think it is.
But I could be wrong.

Anyway,

The Cinderella stamp is by Inkadinkado
I colored her in with Copic markers

After I cut the image down to a square, I used a corner rounder by Creative Memories to round the corners.

The sentiment is an epoxy sticker from my baby boy folder.

The label die-cut and matching stamp is by Clearly Besotted

The embossing folder is by Sizzix

The yellow vellum is from my stash.

A Single Flower in a Mushroom card

This single flower in this card makes me think of the single rose in Beauty and the Beast. Even though my flower is not a rose and is inside a mushroom and not glass, basically they are nothing alike, the card makes me think of the movie Beauty and the Beast. Lol (that probably made absolutely no sense to anyone but me lol)
The flower stamp is by Lawn Fawn. I colored it in with Copic markers and then fussy cut it out.The sentiment and the circle stamp around it are by American Crafts
The die-cut frames are negatives from a Cricut cut. The mushroom was cut out using my Cricut. The patterned paper is by Cosmo Cricket and Basic Grey

Dan and Gabe Christmas card 2020

I have another Gabe scrapbook layout for today. It is a before and after layout.

The 2020 are Quickutz dies
The green foliage on the second layout, is a die-cut by Gina Marie

The tree patterned paper is by Craft Smith. The center stripes paper is a Bazzill 6x6 and then the reddish background paper is unknown. It’s old.

The only die-cut that uses pattern paper is in the middle
And that patterned paper is by Die Cuts with a View

Happy Birthday Stampin Up set Orange cards

On this first card, all of the die-cuts are by Spellbinders except the matching punch to the stamp.

The orange patterned paper in the background, is actually two die-cuts side by side yet they overlapped.

The strip of paper down the center was the product of messing around one day with distress inks, background stamps, and water

On the second card, the presents border stamp is probably by Cloud 9 which is Fiskars
I colored it with different colored distress markers before stamping it onto the white cardstock.

The die-cut behind the sentiment is by Spellbinders.
I used the matching punch to the sentiment

The patterned paper is by Making Memories.

I'm using this old birthday stamp set by Stampin Up to justify its presence in my craft room
I made another card that I just finished up. I do not like it and that is why I’m doing an add-on and not a new post.

Cricut Egg Die-Cut Cards and frame

There are some cards that you make and when you look at them later with new eyes, all you can do is wrinkle your nose and shake your head. That’s me with these first 2 cards.

I didn’t send this card out because you can’t really tell that the yellow part in the middle is an egg. Which is something I explain in the last project.

The die-cuts are from my Cricut

The patterned paper is by Doodlebug.

The second card uses a stamp with
3 eggs on it by Studio G
I masked the eggs with Inkadinkado masking paper and colored them in with Copic Markers and colored pencils

The sentiment is a die-cut by Cricut on the Holiday Cakes cartridge

Last thing,
My plan was to create these three frames for my bathroom. I made the two and became frustrated that I couldn’t get the frames to stay on the wall. So, I left the remnants of a third frame on the shelf with the three frames and then I asked my husband for help. He brought me into the bathroom to show me how to hang the frames for the next season. It was at that time that I saw how he used the leftover pieces that were on the shelf to finish the last frame for me.
He had the back of one egg left which is why the first card in this post does not have an egg back like these ones. I still don’t know where the solid colored egg is.

I like his frame better than mine. Lol.

Easter basket cards

For today's three cards, I used the same basket stamp from a dollar basket at Michael’s (no pun intended). I colored it in with colored pencils and Copic markers. I inked the edges with yellow distress ink. And then adhered it to the card with a piece of foam in order to be the height of the chipboard corner pieces that are by Making Memories. The patterned paper is by Scrap Happy.

The second card, the die cut is by Sizzix with ribbon by Offray weaved thru the holes on the scallop edges of the oval scallop die-cut to create this image. Something different for me but kind of cute. The patterned paper is by Doodlebug.
For the third card, I used patterned paper by Imaginisice and a border sticker by Doodlebug. Besides the cardstock from my stash, that’s all for this card.
I included this picture of all three cards made with the same stamp. The comparison is interesting to see the different looks you can achieve with the same stamp.
Quick side note on card bases: I’m disappointed in the card stock used on the third's card base. The card will not stay standing up. It just slides open.
I hate to say it and pay for it but it’s time to invest in a heavier weight card stock for my horizontal card bases.
