Stamp N Plus card

Now that Valentine's Day is less then three weeks away I figured I better post some of the beautiful love cards I made using Stamp N Plus stamps. This heart stamp is one of my favorites. It is X2046 and can be found HERE. I heat embossed the image with white embossing powder and then used my distress inks to make it the pink color. Using a blending tool I was able to make the inside of the heart lighter while the outside is darker. Then I sprayed it with water and the metallic powder chalk "Stardust" to give it a beautiful shimmer. Distress inks react with water and it give it a water colored look.

The patterned paper and cardstock is by Michael's, the flowers are by Stampin and Scrappin and the glittery centers are by Recollections. The label die cut is by Papertrey Ink, sentiment stickers by K and Co with the brad by The Paper Studio.

Chalk ah lot shaped card

I wasn't expecting anything to post this morning. Sorry about that.
I made this card for the challenge over at Chalk ah Lot Cafe. The theme is shaped cards with chalk.

For my card, the card base is from Michael's and I then die cut some scalloped circles with my Spellbinders dies and Cuttlebug. The stamp is F2286 by Stamp N plus. I colored it in with a combination of powdered chalk and paint.

This picture isn't the best but in the center of the heart it says "I heart U". I used letter stickers some hearts from my stash. Lots of times when I go to crops I will borrow someone's punch and punch out a ton of that shape to use them later. I think the hearts are an example of that. Patterned paper by K and Co.

Another thing, when I combine my powdered chalk with paint I will stamp out a bunch of images and use up the mixture of that particular color on each image. So I will have partially painted images in my box and pull them out when I mix up a new color. I find using this technique I don't waste as much chalk. Although the powdered chalk lasts a long time. I have been using it since Jan of 2012 and have not had to reorder any. Just saying it's a good investment at a cheap price. Here is a link to the website where you can see all the colors available.

Golf lovers card

I made this card for the Stamp N Plus blog. When making this card I was thinking about the golf lovers and how much they must love this mild winter weather we are having here in Michigan. A co-worker of mine took his motorcycle out one day last week and I'm sure some die hard golfers were out on the course that same day.

The golf stamp is L1773 and can be found HERE on the Stamp N Plus website. The clouds cardstock is by Recollections and Provo Craft. On the smaller cloud I dabbed a cosmetic wedge with paint and powdered chalk and smeared it onto the die cut. It gives it a fun fluffy feel. I cut the clouds out using my Cricut and Creative Memories cartridge.

The grass is a die cut that I've had for years so no idea where it came from or who it is by. The birthday stamp is from a SNP set that I have posted a picture below this card. If you are interested in this set of sentiments and fabulous labels for scrapbooking call Luann at 715-271-1873. I use this set all the time and love it.

The ink used in this card is by Tsukineko (green) and Hero Arts (black). Love this Hero Arts ink. It is so vibrant-even for black. It creates a sharp, clean and crisp stamp every time.

The cardboard is from some packaging my husband thought I could use. I love that it resembles the hole for golfing-well it does to me:)
Have a great weekend.

Chalk Ah Lot challenge- Baby card with Laundry

Chalk-Ah-Lot challenge New with chalk continues.
Link up HERE (gone)
I chose to do a new baby card using this clothesline border stamp. I colored in the image using powder chalk and bubbles. It gives a great look. I also inked the edges with chalk ink. The background is also a Stamp N Plus stamp that I stamped multiple times turning it to create this fun whimsical look. The pink chalk by Stamp N Plus is called Cotton Candy.
The pink and purple ink I used is chalk ink by Colorbox. The black is by Hero Arts. The ribbon is by Offray. It's hard to tell but there is a piece of pink ribbon with purple on top of it. The buckle is by Making Memories. The patterned paper is by Daisy D's.

The sentiment would be fabulous for baby announcements. Below is a picture of all the sentiments that come with this one. They are not posted on the Stamp N Plus website but you can order them by calling Luann at 715-271-1873

These are the challenges that I linked up to in 2013:
http://www.totallygorjuss.blogspot.com/-Anything goes with ribbon

When I do some random housecleaning on my posts, I keep the original the original post of there of the card. A timeline as to what design team I was on, what products was I using at that time, and the number of challenges I would link up to. It baffles me to think of the time spent doing all of that. So, with that being said...

Berry Best Wishes

Quick post today.
I made this card using a strawberry stamp by Stamp N Plus. You can find it HERE.
To make the stamp two toned, I stamped the red and then took a small paint brush with water to pull the red out of the leaves. Then I used a tear drop ink pad in green to carefully placed the green ink on the stamp. A small breath on the stamp and onto the paper it goes.
The strawberry pattern is fabric I found at a quilt store. Cardstock by Stampin Up, Frances Meyer and Making Memories. The die cut is by Spellbinders and the border punch by EK Success. The sentiment stamp is Joy's Life (Yummy pun stamps) with ink by Stampin Up and Tsukineko. The hemp is by The Beadery Craft Products and the buttons are from my stash.

John 3:16

On this new day of a new year we must remember to thank the Lord for allowing us to live in this world for another day and may the year be filled with beautiful memories of family and friends sharing hope, love and kindness to all men.

I used patterned paper from Provo Craft and Deja Views for this card. The cardstock is from my stash with the gold paper by Creative Memories. I cut the cross out using my Cricut and the cartridge Indie Art. The patterned paper behind the cross is stamped with a Tim Holtz Stamper's Anonymous stamp and heat embossed using embossing powder by Stamp N Plus. I then used a blending tool and distressing ink to resist the embossed area and also to enhance the the orangish-red patterned paper. The tag is a Sizzix die used in my Cuttlebug with a stamp by Studio 112 and ink by Stampin Up. The brad is from my stash.
