Deep Red Stamps ATC's

For the first card I used Retro Umbrella Girl. I stamped her in black and cut her out. The green cardstock is dry embossed with a border folder. The circle is a Heidi Swapp freebie download. I inked the edges with whatever mixture was left on my table at the time.

This one below I stamped the Vintage Swirls background stamp with Old Paper distress ink and brushed on some gold Perfect Pearls. I stamped the Movie Clapper in black and added a rub-on inside of it. I stamped the film piece from the Vintage photo Frame set on the left side twice. The sticker is by Cloud 9.

I stamped the frame from the Vintage Photo Frame set in a sage ink. I colored in the Vintage Delivery Truck with distress markers before stamping it inside of the frame. The side design with wheels and cogs is washi tape. The words at the top are Creative Imaginations stickers that I colored in with distress markers and the 4 is a rub on by The Paper Studio.

All the stamps used in these ATC's were by Deep Red Stamps

Manly Monday Deer Birthday

Here for Manly Monday is another redo. I had lots of Father's Day cards that didn't fit their personalities but would match others for a birthday card. I changed the sentiment on the inside and outside by adding the brown/kraft color cardstock to both places. The outside sentiment is by Forever in Time (Dollar store find) and the other is by Hero Arts.

Lawn Fawn Owls

These cute little owl stamps are by Lawn Fawn. I stamped them with brown Stampin Up ink and colored them in with SU colored pencils. I borrowed a branch stamp by Newton's Nook for the owl to sit on. After I colored the two images in, I stamped masks for each with Inkadinkado masking paper. Love that stuff. I covered the stamps with the masks and inked the area around the images with blue distress ink using an ink blending tool. I removed the masks and let them dry for a while before the next steps.

I used a different Lawn Fawn stamp set for the grass. I stamped it with two different shades of greens to make the grass look fuller and longer. I stamped part of the tree background stamp by Hero Arts with the same brown ink as the others to the side. I wasn't sure where I was going with these cards, which explains the tree stamp thickness and location. I finished the cards with one of two sentiments by Clearly Besotted.

I think they turned out cute. I have a ton of owls left over so you may be seeing them again soon in a different environment.

Forever 39! Birthday card

I made this card with a Sizzix flower stamp and matching die as well as a Stampin Up leaf stamp and matching die. I stamped both with Colorbox ink and the second leaf stamp I stamped with Tsukineko Bamboo green ink. The patterned papers are by Stampin Up and Basic Grey. The flower eyelet is by Making Memories. The sentiment tag is by 3 Bugs in a Rug and the 39 stickers by Provo Craft.

This next card is very similar to the one above. It has patterned paper by Basic Grey and Recollections and a white brad is by Imaginise.

I Like Big Trucks and I Cannot Lie Layout

I have a layout to show and shake things up this week. The Cricut die cuts by 1st Few Years (truck and the frame) and by Cuttin Up (title). The polka dot patterned paper is by Fancy Pants and all the cardstock is by Recollections. I punched a white oval with a Marvy punch and stamped the subtitle with Lawn Fawn stamps with Stampin Up ink.

Pretty simple but it's done.

Shabby Chic Cards

I'm not a shabby chic kind of gal but thought I'd take the challenge for an ATC swap. I started by running the base thru the Xyron upside down and adhering some lace scraps to the card. Then I picked out some scraps blue patterned paper by Basic Grey and some peach colored Die Cuts with a View cardstock.

I knew I wanted to use these giant rhinestones by Glitz. They have a lot of dimension and I can't see using them for a card or scrapbook page. That's where an ATC can be a perfect canvas for things you love but can't use in other places. The half circles of rhinestones are by Heidi Swapp. They were complete circles until I cut them in half. So each card has the giant rhinestone, a half of a blue rhinestone circle and a Tim Holtz die cut word.

The other products I used:
Flowers by Recollections
Chipboard circle by Prima
Deckled edge square punch by McGill Craftivity which I cut in half
Pearls by Forever in Time
and
I did end up using some brads to hold the flowers in place and dotting some i's. I wasn't able to get the glue dot to adhere to the lace.

Hope you like them. Thanks for looking.

President Washington ATC's

I found these George Washington seals in my mother in laws things when she moved. I made ATC's out of them in time for his birthday. They are also for a swap where the theme is two colors and I chose green and gold.
I dry embossed the background paper with a star embossing folder by Cuttlebug. I then lightly covered the raised area with gold distress paint with a makeup sponge. The background paper has a design of gold string decoratively sewn in. It's hard to see in these pictures but I the single photos below show it better.
I layered the seal on top of a white die cut and then a gold paper oval punch. The paper is by Provo Craft and the punch by Marvy. For the date, I used Stampin Up stamps with green ink onto green cardstock scraps. The stars were in my stash, They really tested my patience when adhering them to the ATC.

Kindness Campaign Card Drive Brighten your day Card

My card today uses a beautiful Deep Red Stamp called

I stamped this row with distress ink on Forever in Tim cream cardstock. I border punched the edge with a Fiskars punch. I did the same punch on green patterned paper by Studio G, which I think is a by company of Hampton Arts. I don't understand why companies do that where they come out with products under a different name. Smh.

The orangish patterned paper is by Basic Grey and the green background paper has been dry embossed with large circles. I believe that paper may have come off a store bought card. Please Recycle! The giant rhinestone is by Glitz and the sentiment sticker by K and Co.

This card is for the the Kindness Campaign Card Drive. Check it out and consider donating a card or two.

Manly Monday Chalk Marker Card

Hey, Hey, I have a Manly Monday card today.

The black background for the hexagons is a piece of cereal box board that a painted with Plaid chalkboard paint. I had cut out a bunch of hexagons out using my Cricut and had this negative leftover that I thought was perfect as a stencil. I outlined each hex before coloring in the shape with the blue chalk marker. Super cute and perfectly imperfect. The blue paper is by Sunborn, black and white cardstock by Recollections and sentiment die by Lawn Fawn.

Sweet card

I made this ATC with a Deep Red Stamps background stamp called

I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder and covered it with Ranger Spun Sugar distress stain. It turned out pretty. The rest of the stuff I'm not sure. Most of it was laying on my table and just seemed to fit with this background.

Napkin Technique

This technique is interesting but in my opinion it's very messy. I couldn't get the glitter stick as well or as easily as the video made it look. The red edges on the left side of each card are different border punches which are by Stampin Up and EK Success.

The die cuts are all by Spellbinders. I liked how I'm able to use the really small Spellbinders die cuts for ATC's. I never know what else to use those small dies for. The two snowflakes and green sentiments are rub-ons by American Crafts. The upper right sentiment are Fastanator staples.

Cricut Love struck Cards

Here are 2 more of the free Valentine cards from Cricut. I cut them out of peach cardstock by Bazzill. I adhered red cardstock to the bottom where the words are and white cardstock to the inside to cover the inside panel.

The second one I inked white cardstock with distress ink before adhering it to the inside.

I made this card using the Cricut freebie Valentine card. There were a few of them that I will be posting soon. I cut the base out of red cardstock. Then I inked a white piece of cardstock with different colors of distress ink. I taped it to the inside and wa-la the card is done.

Flower Basket Birthday Card

Today's card is a remodel. It was a Mother's Day card that I converted into a birthday card. It had this huge pearl brad in it that would never go through the machine at the post office. HERE is the original card where you can see a products list.

Here's what I did to revamp it. The Mother's Day label was not coming off without taking the green cardstock with it. I really wasn't that interested in tearing the whole card down more just change those few elements. So I covered up the the longer Elle's label with a smaller one from the same pack (Is it sad that I still have the same pack of labels that I did from 2013?) I layered the die cut "happy" by Clearly Besotted over the two labels in brown. As I look at the card, I'm not really impressed with the color of the sentiment but it's done and I'm sure no one in my family will say anything.

For the inside of the card, I used a brown label from the same pack of labels. The sentiment is by Stamping Scrapping in brown Stampin Up ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Love card

I'm not sure how I missed posting this one for earlier but I did. The red cardstock has been stamped with hearts and heart outlines as well as some flourishes with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed. The hearts were embossed with Ranger's red embossing powder and the flourishes with an off white. The off white has specks in it. I inked the edges with Vintage Photo distress ink.

The word "Love" is a sticker by Pebbles that I placed on a Spellbinders die cut and then onto a scrap of black cardstock. I wrapped some lace around the left side of the card front panel and secured it down with a Creative Imaginations brad. Then I added it to a 5 x 6 1/2 pre-made card base.

Manly Monday Best Wishes

My card today features a couple of star dies that I bought off eBay. They have a stitched edge and cut beautifully.
This one I was able to stamp a star by Kitchen Sink Stamps in the center with blue ink. I layered the two dies together before adding them to a piece of white cardstock that has been dry embossed with a Tim Holtz folder. I ripped the edge of the white cardstock and adhered it to a card base is by Creativity Inc. I stamped the sentiment by Fiskars onto a scrap of blue paper and added a Lawn Fawn star die next to it. Happy Birthday card

I made a birthday card ATC to send with my monthly swap ladies. I was amazed at the cards I received when it was my birthday month and want to be sure send love back to others.

The pattern paper is by Recollections, the jute is by Tim Holtz and the happy birthday stamp are by Stampendous. The flower is a download from the Internet that you cut out and then roll into this dimensional flower. I stamped it first with flower stamps by SEI and inked the edges with distress ink before I rolled it up into the flower you see. It takes a little (a ton) of practice to get it to look good but if you apply Stickles to the edges to make it sparkle you can cover up imperfections. Add a brown brad in the center

Butterfly Birthday Card

I made this card when I was selling them at a store and it was for a granddaughter.  Well since I will never have one I changed it into a birthday card, which I'm always in need of. The butterflies patterned paper is by K and Co. and the vine and leaves on the side are a Cricut cut from Art Philosophy. There is a brown piece of cardstock at the bottom to hold down the lace . I folded the lace on top of each other like a pleat and secured it down with Modge Podge and a foam brush. The foam brush had blue-ish ink remnants on it which is what I get for not cleaning my brushes when I'm finished. The sentiment is by Fiskars.

Pocket pages 1970's Steve's Book Feb sketch

I have a new Sketches In Thyme Project Life/Pocket page to share. A thought came to me when I joined a few PL groups on FB that what I am doing is not really considered  "Project Life". But I like how the pocket pages have transformed the pictures with the help of little bits here and there I'm proud of the books I've made. And screw the 5 Groh boys if they don't like them. I found this system to be the easiest way for me to put these photos in albums.

Here's my page for today. I really liked the sketch of the card, which you can see below. My card using the sketch in the middle row right side card. I like that it's crooked and suppose to be that way. The patterned papers are by Making Memories (green, yellow, orange pattern) and Creative Memories (Red paper.)

Then I had some fun using the Small Talk and Frames Cricut cartridge for the center card. I added some arrows and circles to spice up the pictures. The numbers that are a bold font are by Stampin Up and any other ABC's are by Lawn Fawn.

Ready, Set, Snow ATC's

I combined Faber Cassell blue gelatos with white paint and silver Metallic Rub by Viva. I took a paintbrush and smeared the mixture onto the white packaging I had around the house.
Then I stamped and heat embossed snowflakes by Lawn Fawn randomly in the sky.
I stamped some other small circles from the same set with Charcoal ink by Hero Arts.

On the bottom row of ATC's, I combined white paint by Ranger with Perfect Pearls and painted it onto white cardstock. I tore the edge of the white paper and smeared Versa Mark ink on that torn edge. I heat embossed with white glitter powder by Stampendous.

The sentiment is Lawn Fawn and the silver snowflake is a package of confetti from Dollar Tree.

Destiny ATC

I made this ATC for a swap and the theme was to use a stencil. I decided to use a Dreamweaver Stencil by Stampendous. I applied glossy white embossing paste to the stencil onto watercolor cardstock. After it dried, I inked it with distress ink and applied Perfect Pearls to the edges. I used the negative of a sheet of star die cuts to create the background by inking with the purple distress ink. I stamped the cluster of stars, stamp by Simon Says Stamp, with Hero Arts and Stampin Up inks. I inked the edges of the ATC before stamping the sentiment stamp with black Hero Arts ink.
