Sunshine Bottle Cap Birthday cards

I have a couple of non stamping cards that use the same bottle cap. The first one uses patterned paper by Me and My Big Ideas. The ribbon is by Michael's and the orange cardstock is a scrap I found in my scrap pile. The yellow cardstock is by Bazzill and the die cut is by Design Objectives. There is a circle punch by EK Success behind the cap and I think it's just white cardstock by Recollections. I used Multi Medium Matte adhesive by Ranger to adhere the cap to the circle. The happy die is by Clearly Besotted out of white Recollections cardstock. The birthday die is by Papertrey Ink and it is out of yellow fun foam from the dollar store.

The second card has cardstock by Coredinations for the background, The white cardstock is by Recollections, yellow scrap by Colorbok, orange die cut by Sunborn, and the yellow flower is a scrap. The yellow flower is a punch by SU and the orange die cut is by Papertrey Ink. The sentiment is cut out with my Cricut and the Just Because Cards cartridge. I put Stickles on the word sunshine.

Beer Lager Sassy Party Card

I have just a few more posts to go and my Sassy Studio Designs GDT term will be ending. Today's card is for the Thursday challenge where the theme is It's raining men.

I used Lager Pin Up Sassy I printed her out onto Cryogen cardstock. I colored her with Copic markers and die cut her out with a Spellbinders die where I inked the inside of the die with distress ink by Ranger Industries. Then for the foam of the beer, I mixed Stardust powdered chalk with paint, both by Stamp N Plus, and painted the foam in. The background paper on top is by Stampin Up and the bottom is by Hot off the Press. The floss is by Karen Foster and the sentiment is by Momenta.

Manly Monday Camping embossing folder card

Welcome back to Manly Monday. This masculine card post should be a little more dependable from now on because I've finished the scrapbooks I was commissioned to create. That was a really big job and I need to reevaluate if it's something I will ever do again. It took up a lot of my time and I would rather be working on my true love which is cards. I usually only scrapbook with friends over the weekend and make cards and stuff all the other days of my life. Idk-Anyway, after my card I have some fun masculine cards to share with you today.

My card uses a Darice embossing folder with kraft cardstock by Oriental Trading Co. I inked the images and embossed words to announce the embossed areas better than just leaving it plain. I used Ranger's Distress inks with an ink blender to ink the kraft cardstock. This is one of my favorites because it's all scrap cardstock and the whole thing took me about 20 minutes to make. The gal that requested the card was happy as could be with it for a Father's Day card, which made me feel like everybody was a winner. (updated 12-13-22-font, title, photo size and placement)

I love a lot of things about this group of cards but I'll let you fall in love with them for your own reasons. Let them know you saw their card at Manly Monday or MM. Have fun and be inspired.

All of those were fabulous masculine cards.

Thanks for stopping by.

Manly Monday Border of Tools

Welcome back to Manly Monday. After my card, I have a larger selection of cards to share with you this week.

I made my card using stamps by Hero Arts. The tools stamp uses Memento ink and then colored with Copics. I'm not the best colorer, especially with small images like this but they say practice makes perfect. It turned out so cute that I had to share even if I didn't totally stay in the lines. Idk who the patterned paper is by-sorry but the Copic paper is called Cryogen, the black cardstock is by Recollections and the white cardstock is by Neenah Solar white. I did heat emboss the sentiment with black embossing powder by myStamp Box. (Updated 12-13-22 photo size and placement, font)

There are many Masculine/Male/Dad/Father's Day-type challenges out this past week. I'm entering quite a few of them, which you can see at the bottom of this post. The challenges I usually link up to are NOT SIR or ones that you can only link to so many other challenges. I understand putting a limit on the number of entries a person can link up but I don't understand the limit on {C10 and such} other challenges you can enter. You would think they, challenge blogs, would want the exposure. But hey what do I know. They must have their reasons.

Manly Monday Hand Saw Cut Once Card

Welcome back to another PACKED Manly Monday. I think there are 25+ cards/links to share with you today. I hope you will leave the ladies some love so they know you stopped by after seeing their link right here at Manly Monday. Here is my card. I really like the way it turned out and think you will enjoy it.

My Manly Monday card is a fun one with new-to-me stamps and dies by Papertrey Ink. I started my card by distressing the background paper by Tim Holtz with an X-Acto knife. It sure isn't the safest way to distress but it was the closest thing to me at the time. I crinkled the paper up in my hand and then smoothed it back out. I stamped and die cut the saw out of a very light gray cardstock and then I used pinking shears to make the blades of the saw. If you offset your die cut to include more of an edge on the downside then you have a nice little edge to make the saw sharp. I love this sentiment and have heard my husband use it before. This will make a perfect birthday card for one of his four brothers or nephews. {Now if I could just get them in the mail before their actual birthday, I'd be a happy camper}

I used the same gray cardstock behind the saw which in hindsight I should have used a different color. Oh well. The edges are inked with Stampin Up grey ink. The kind of graph paper is by DCWV and the green is by Stampin Up.

Please note that if you make a manly card and would like it posted here you can always email me at
grohcm at gmail dot com with a direct link. I will gladly show off your creation. I'd like to keep things new on this post so nothing older than a month. If you send me multiple links I may split them up but you will get in the line-up. Thanks, everyone. (Updated  12-13-22 Photo size and placement. Font and size.)
