Manly Monday Tools for Dad Card

My husband and I made a choice well before we were married not to have children.
We still give each other a card and sometimes a gift on Mother's and Father's Day and sign it from the dog. This is the card I gave him this year.

The only stamps in this card are an old set of Sizzix alphabet stamps for the sentiment.
White pigment ink by Stampin Up to spell out "Dad"
I fussy cut it out to fit in the spot where I accidentally had a drop of glue

I cut this pattern using my Cricut.
I can't remember if I created the background or if it was an SVG file or what.
I have all of the positive tools to use on cards and scrapbook layouts.
(I may have cut them out for a calendar layout making a new deck at our cottage.
See pictures below of the massive tree that fell on our deck during the tornados in 2018.)

I went into my small scrap box and was excited to find 2 different types of silver paper.
One of them is by Creative Memories and I'm not sure about the other.
Example of the difference in the two silver papers:
The saw with the orange handle is the CM paper
and
the wrench to its left is the other silver paper.

I'm going to enter this card into

Fishy cards by Lawn Fawn

I have a bunch of cards today.
Inside each one is the sentiment Just Keep Swimming.

I used stamps by Lawn Fawn and Close to my Heart for the sentiment
Most of the fish are colored with colored pencils but there are a few with Copic markers in there too.
The border dies are by eBay and Spellbinders
The patterned paper is by My Mind's Eye and Creative Memories for the sand

The sunrays in this first card, are a stamp that I acquired through the years.
These two cards are long and skinny. You can see their pattern on the edges of this one.
Using things up in my stash.

I heat embossed the same sunray stamp using Colorbox ink and clear embossing powder.

For this next card, the background was made with alcohol inks.
The border die by Spellbinders and is inked with distress ink
The sand is patterned paper by CM

The sunrays in this next one were made with a Tim Holtz stencil and a Ranger gold spray.

The background stamp is silver pigment ink that says Thank you
Then I inked with distress ink.

Thanks for looking.
Here are some other cards using the same stamp.

YooHoo-We're thinking of you Owl cards

I had all of these owl images just hanging around my craft room. Time to pull them out and use them for a good cause, sending them to senior citizens.
I used stamps by Lawn Fawn
Masking paper Inkadinkado to cover the owl and create a blue sky with distress ink.
The sentiment is by Cricut
There are some die- cuts by Spellbinders
The grass patterned paper is old from my stash.
I made the backgrounds using a stencil from The Crafters Workshop and Glimmer mist Sprays from Tattered Angels.
I was looking to see which one still worked. When you don't use them very often they get clogged up.

I used flock on this owl.

The die-cut for this card below is made with wallpaper samples.

This is the last page in my husband’s scrapbook of his trip to Wyoming

I ripped it and inked it to go around the article that was in our town’s paper.

Which direction should this blue and green card be?

I found this lonely stamped flower in my stash
I used it to test out my blue and then green Copic markers.
The green coloring is me just messing around.
Sometimes I look at it and think, meh...but
It's a handmade card for someone at a nursing home. I just hope that they like blue and green.
Technically, since there is no sentiment, this card could be used for any occasion.
I usually include a sentiment to the front of the card and without one to guide the recipient on which way to hold it or open it

What do you think? How would you hold this card to open it?

This way?

Or this way?

The die- cuts leaves are by CM
The blue cardstock by Ranger has been dry embossed with a Spellbinders folder
There's a brad in the center by Making Memories.

Crabby Birthday card

I used a crab stamp by Stampin Up
I stamped him on Strathmore watercolor paper and colored him in with distress ink.
The banner/pennants are a fabric stickers. I was going to stamp a letter into each pennant to make a sentiment but I was afraid that the fabric would soak up the ink and distort the letters.
The patterned paper is by Sunborn
I used scraps of red paper from my stash.
There’s isn’t much to this card.
