Fold Out Christmas Tree Farm Card

I made this card for Craft Roulette #239 the parameters were to make an interactive card with picnic colors, farm elements, and strips of paper.
I’m not sure what this card fold is called but I am obsessed with it. It’s so easy to score and it looks like a rock star. The first picture shows what it looks like when you take it out of the cart. You don’t even see the trees on the outside until you open it up. I love that when you do open it up you have a full 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 view that stands up for display.
My picnic color is green. My farm is a Christmas tree farm and I have 2 strips of silver Sizzix mirror paper on the insides. I had a hard time getting the two darkest colored trees to fold in so you wouldn’t see them until the card was opened.
The front of the card is a Cricut draw, and I did it with a glitter marker. The middle Christmas   tree is from a store bought card, but the other trees were cut with my Cricut. The star top are from a corner punch that is made of stars. The perfect little size for things like this. I drew the tree trunks on with colored pencils and Copic markers.

Best Fishes in squares card

I made this card for Craft Roulette #225
Parameters
Project: A2
Colors: tea party
Element: house pet
Random: stripes
And I thought the random was the packaging.
No silly. That was last week.
Anyway…this is the tea cup color inspiration

And when you look at the two sided by side it looks weird but when you look at just the picture above it makes more sense.

The first thing is I used this teacup as my color palette. It’s hard to tell but I really did take the colors as my inspiration from the tea cut
The stamps I’m using are by Lawn Fawn I colored them with Copic markers.
Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Manly Monday Shark Bite card

This Deep Red Stamp sentiment makes me giggle. The seaweed stamps and mulberry paper are unknown.
Let me ask you a question. Have you ever noticed the designs on Kleenex boxes? Some of them have better designs than patterned paper.
Well, I cut a part of a design on a Kleenex box to look like waves. I popped one up with foam squares so I had a place for my seaweed stamps.
I made this card for Craft Roulette #226 and the parameters were:
Project-see thru (you can see through the mulberry paper.
Colors-Jungle (there’s green in the leaves)
Element-Teach(es)or teacher (sentiment says “I’ve learned…)
Random-Tangle (the waves are tangled)

Floral Friday Upcycled Layered Sunflowers card

I made this card using a store-bought card. I fussy cut the flowers and then layered them onto the card base. The two flowers on the right-hand side were attached with dimensional adhesive. The sentiment is from My Stamp Box. The circle punch is by Creative Memories. I put some blue I. The corner represents the sky.

City girls by Deep Red Stamps

The Deep Red Stamps girls are on summer vacation and others are ready to go. I stamped all of them with Memento black and colored them in Copic markers.

The Sassy City girl wearing the pants, the pink embossed paper used in this card is from a store-bought. I put a slit in the top left corner to allow the white paper to go through it. Something different so it’s not exactly the same as the store-bought one

The background for Missy in the pink party dress above was made with powdered chalk mixed with paint in red and brown. The 4” square patterned paper is by DCWV. The two brown brackets are rub-ons.

The City party girl in purple has a really easy and short list of supplies, the background with embossed hearts is a store-bought card. All of the purple cardstock is from my stash.

Let's talk about the City Girl wearing a blue skirt,  I had made a really ugly background with the Milled Lavender, Tumbled Glass…and one more distress ink. But it worked well with the way I had colored her a long time ago. The black cardstock behind her is by SMS. The sentiment is by Stampin Up.

Which card or girl do you like? Leave me a comment below.

Upcycled inside sentiments on Christmas cards

The sentiment is an upcycled inside of a Christmas card that I layered it onto patterned paper by K and I and by Bo Bunny. I colored the Holly and berries with Copic markers.

The sentiment was die cut by Spellbinders and then inked the edges with distress ink. The striped patterned paper is unknown but the red patterned paper is by Stampin Up. The Santa stamp was black heat embossed and colored in.
Thanks for looking.

Cynthia’s BIG Teal N Pink Birthday Card

This is a big card. I took an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of white cardstock and folded it in half. Then I started my layering. First, a piece of bright pink cardstock. Then a striped piece of vintage wrapping paper. Followed by a blue patterned paper by Cosmo Cricket.

To finish up, I found the blue scallop square in butterfly in my stash. I added a “happy” die cut by Lawn Fawn and the “birthday” die cut by Clearly Besotted.

The lady I made this card for has  macular degenerative disease. Her daughter requested cards to be large and have larger fonts.

Thanks for looking.

Floral Friday Autumn like colored cards

Background patterned paper by Cosmo Cricket. The patterned paper used in the Sizzix die cuts is by Papertrey Ink. The brown paper is a scrap and the gold letters, no clue.

The second card has green opulent paper by Sizzix on the bottom half. The center cardstock is a dry embossed border by Cuttlebug. I don’t use those nearly enough but I should because when I do, I really like the way they look. The tag is an upcycled item from my stash. The sentiment is by Just Rite. I wish I could remember how I got the ombré color on the sentiment. It is looks great.

The above card started out as a birthday card but the sentiment was hard to read. (See below)

You can see why I changed it.
Thanks for looking.

Jesus is the Gift card

The background paper is by Stampin Up. The tag is by My Mind’s Eye. The die cut is a wallpaper sample and is cut out using a Spellbinders label one. The ribbon is from my stash.

A little long story that I want to remember how I felt at this time.
When I started this card I didn’t know my niece was going to come over so it was all over the desk. She proceeded to take lots of stuff out of the drawers and cabinets in order to finish only to put part of it together and leave me to finish it. Typical 12-year-old. But ya know what, I miss those days of her inviting herself over to my house where I would have so many things to get done and she would come over and we did WERQ a dance fitness class. We did marker cleaning (yikes! I should pay her for that.) we would make a mess in the kitchen and the craft room. Problem was, she would leave the mess for me to cleanup. I want that to continue but maybe it needs to be in a different way that the 13 year old (14 in March) girl wants to do. I’m willing to evolve if she is wants to think of what that something might be.

(Not proofread. Hehe) Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Pink Floral bouquet shiny Upcycled card

The floral bouquet covers up a 25. It is an upcycled wedding table card that I thought would be worth a try. The floral is a die cut by my friend Rosie. I added a few sequins and then the title is a die cut by?? I have so many new die cuts that I can’t keep track of the companies.

This is the wedding number that I covered with the bouquet. Pretty good.

P

So then I made this second card green. So on this cardI made my own background. I used a Stampin Up background stamp on cream card stock. Then I added distress ink around the edges. This bouquet is foiled.
Thanks for looking.

Manly Monday Musical Christmas Easel Card

I made this card for my nephew and his roommate who are at Western Michigan University and are both in the music program. I was inspired by the Craft Roulette parameters:
Project-square
Color- nest
Element-ladder
Random-add a cat
Obviously a square. The tan colors look like a nest. The bow on the horn looks like cat ears. And then on the inside of the card, there is patterned paper that has a keyboard that one could say looks like a ladder.
The patterned paper on the front is by Me and My Big Ideas. black die cut is by Spellbinders and the other is by Design Objectives. The DO die cut is out of a wallpaper sample.
Check out Craft Roulette. It sure is fun and such a great challenge.

Thanks for looking.

Manly Monday Recycled Vintage Birthday card

The card above is where I started with this card…6 months ago. I final pulled it out and decided it was time to get it out and make it into a card.

The background “paper” is the back of a die cut package by K and Co. The left side borders are just paper scraps from Die Cuts with a View and Crete Papers. The sentiment stamp is by Stampibilities from hobby lobby. All done, tada. Thanks for looking

Manly Monday EEK! Gdê

I really like the way this card came together. The little monster stamps are by Stampendous. I stamped them with black Memento ink and colored them in with Copic markers. I then took the colorless blender and pulled the color out from the monsters to make them appear fuzzy.
The window is a piece of white cardstock stamped with a Just Rite wooden background stampin brown ink. I cut the windows out using my trimmer. It’s a little bit rough but I’m okay with it. I die cut the letters and exclamation point by Sizzix. Underneath the window are three pieces of packaging I used to create my background.
