Holly Hobby Craft Roulette card

I bought a Holly Hobby stamp set while in Wisconsin October 2022. It’s exclusive to Cardmaking Magazine and I got it for a buck. I bought it for my cousin’s birthday which was Nov 2023.

I made a part of this card for,
Project: Cardstock and not cardstock (tan is cardstock and foto paper is not)
Colors: Santa’s workshop (red, green and neutrals)
Element: Collars (there are collars on dresses)
Random: Zigzag (green rub ons)

After Craft Roulette,  I wanted to do more with the card for my cousin’s 50th birthday. I wanted to depict something special that was a piece of our childhood. That piece was Holly Hobby.

I decided to use all of the images in the stamp set. The card front image opens to the right and that door was covering the second image.

The Craft Roulette  part of the card was the little girl leaning over top of fence.

The picture above is what you see when you take the card out of the envelope.

Then you open the mini card to reveal the girl on the fence on the left and the girl in the field on the right.

There’s one more turn. And that shows the last little girl in the stamp set and she’s flying a kite.

Not what you would expect from the front is it? Here’s the thing. I didn’t expect to add the girl laying on the grass but this is what the back of the mini card looked like this,

I needed to cover that so I stamped and colored the little girl on the grass.

My cousin loved the card and was super impressed.
The patterned paper is an oldie from Provo Craft. The rub-ons came from a pack of borders by Making Memories, maybe. The stamp set is from a magazine. I colored in the images with Copic Markers and used alcohol inks to create the skies and the grass. The grass stamp is by Stamp N Plus Scrap N. The sentiment is on vellum is from Quick Quotes.

 Thanks for looking. HAGD!

City girls by Deep Red Stamps

The Deep Red Stamps girls are on summer vacation and others are ready to go. I stamped all of them with Memento black and colored them in Copic markers.

The Sassy City girl wearing the pants, the pink embossed paper used in this card is from a store-bought. I put a slit in the top left corner to allow the white paper to go through it. Something different so it’s not exactly the same as the store-bought one

The background for Missy in the pink party dress above was made with powdered chalk mixed with paint in red and brown. The 4” square patterned paper is by DCWV. The two brown brackets are rub-ons.

The City party girl in purple has a really easy and short list of supplies, the background with embossed hearts is a store-bought card. All of the purple cardstock is from my stash.

Let's talk about the City Girl wearing a blue skirt,  I had made a really ugly background with the Milled Lavender, Tumbled Glass…and one more distress ink. But it worked well with the way I had colored her a long time ago. The black cardstock behind her is by SMS. The sentiment is by Stampin Up.

Which card or girl do you like? Leave me a comment below.
Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Manly Monday Green Rub on background

And the
Project- A2
Color: Forest ColorS
Element- Starts with “H”
Random -Postage stamp

The background paper is watercolor paper by Strathmore. The pattern is a sheet of rub ons that I don’t know of any other way to use them. It would be a lot of work and frustration to get a little circle out of the center.
Anyway, I inked the background with green distress ink, sprayed the paper with regular water on it and wiped it off with a paper towel. That made the white stand out in the images.

The Hero Arts sentiment was white heat embossed onto black cardstock and the layered onto Spellbinders die cut. The little tags were part of a prize and here’s a link to Layle by Mail

That’s it for me. Complaining—>I have so many things to do and not enough healthy days to do them. But, I woke up this morning and that’s a win. Thanks for looking.

Peaceful Kayaking Card

So this card was made for the Simon says stamp Monday challenge which is more like a grunge type challenge and if you saw my post from last week, you’ll see that I’m not the greatest at it. I’m going to keep on trying.

I made this background with distress inks and water. It doesn’t have as much grunge as others but I did make this card for this challenge. Distress ink and distressed watercolor paper by Tim Holtz for Ranger. The stamp is by Stampibilities. The rub ons are by Making Memories. Thanks for looking.

A Single Colored butterfly in a Grey background

I started with grey cardstock and stamped a whole set of Cloud 9 rubber stamps on the background with black ink. I added some random rub-ons to see if they still worked. They look distressed. AKA-They didn't work. The last thing I did was stamp one more butterfly onto white cardstock and color it in with Copic Markers. Thanks for looking.

Accordion card With Candy Canes with a Yellow background

😭 The front sentiment smeared. But if you open the rest of the card, I think you can get past that. (I hope I fixed it before sending it out.)

The sentiment was created in Design Space and then I used a gel marker to write it on the white cardstock. I just didn't wait long enough or it got thrown on my desk and something piled over it. Anyway, this is old and I mean old patterned paper by Provo Craft. Green paper by Sunborn. Ribbon from Michael's. The back sentiment is a Hero Arts stamp and 2022 is a Stampendous stamp set. Thanks for looking. All of the accordion cards were made using a Melody Lane Cricut Design Space SVG.
