Black n White Lizard card that says This Way

It's odd that I would make 3 cards in a row that are all B&W with a color.
The patterned paper is by Studio Calico. The sentiment was made using my Cricut. The Lizard is an old stamp that I am not sure if I own anymore. Thanks for looking.

Floral Friday Happy Flowers upcycled cards

My cards today were made using the outside and the inside of a store-bought card. Below are my cards and then look at the next picture and see what I did.

First card: I added the vellum sentiment. The floral heart is the inside of the card. It also uses a second store-bought card; the pink patterned paper. See the next picture.

For the second card, I used Tim Holtz die cuts.
The background paper is by Studio G
The letter stickers are by Studio Calico

Soft colors make a wreath card

I made my card today using die cuts from a Sizzix set that is full of birds. The patterned papers I used were by K and Co., Pepertrey Ink, and Tim Holtz. The background paper is by Studio Calico. The sentiment stamp was a set I bought off of eBay. I've been on a shopping spree the last month. I'm not as familiar with my new products. Anyway, the bow is a sticker by Mrs. Grossman. I punched the center of the wreath out with a Marvy circle punch.

Lately, I have been doing challenges for inspiration and a place to start.
I made this card for the challenge at

Floral Friday Sunflower Tag card and older SU Sunflower stamp card

The tag for this card is an upcycle. It was made by a family member named Dawn and it was given to Grandma LaFrate in 2016 (I think-SMH. I thought I took a picture of the back so I would be able to reference it. I can't find it.)

So all I did was ink the Provo Craft patterned paper with distress ink,
Heat embossed the sentiment stamp by Forever in Time, inked it, and punched it out.
The circle underneath is a Recollections journal box. I used a Spellbinders die to cut it out and then inked it. The first time I inked it in Vintage Photo and I did;t like it, I flipped it over and inked it with Peeled Paint.
The sentiment is on Zots 3D dot thingy's that I fought with and won't use them again for a circle punch. I thought that since they were round that would work better than the square dimensional adhesive. Not so much. It looks warped. Oh well.

This next card was also made by Dawn. I took the top of this handmade card and cut off the dirty sides. Then I added the panel onto this store-bought card because it matched so beautifully.

The card below uses a very old Stampin Up stamp set and a Close to my Heart sentiment.

I used perfect pearls on the sunflower. The patterned papers are by Studio G (orange check) and Studio Calico (woodgrain). The die-cut behind the sunflower is by Spellbinders.
Here is a link to the other place I used this same stamp.

Manly Monday It's "Time" To Celebrate Cards part 2

For each of my cards today, I used an embossing folder by Darice. The sentiment was made with alphabet stamps from Close to my Heart. The word stamps are from The Paper Studio. I also used distress ink on the edges of most.

1st card: Patterned paper by Bazzill.
The die cut is from Spellbinders.

The circle was cut out using the Creative Memories cutting system.

I’m entering the green card into the Male Room Challenge

Patterned paper by Studio Calico.

Sentiment patterned paper is from a Tim Holtz paper

The circle in the back has been sprayed with my new Dylusions shimmer spray by Ranger. The sentiment die-cut is by Spellbinders.

Here’s a picture of the group that I made including last week’s card using Deep Red Stamps.
I think the green card is my favorite color of the bunch.

Saddle Up Gabe Scrapbook Layout

Well, I was thinking that since I posted horse cards in my last post, it was a good idea to follow up with this horse layout.

The number and AKA stamps are by Close to my Heart
The letter stickers are by Basic Grey
I used my Cricut to cut the horse and saddle up die-cuts
Saddle Up was recolored with distress inks.
I used a 6x6 Studio Calico paper pad and just overlapped the two pieces of brown patterned paper down the center of the layout.
The leaf patterned paper is by Provo Craft is also from a 6x6 paper pad.

I missed a horse card last time.

1978 Snow, Family and Friends scrapbook layouts

This layout is different for me because I used a lot of the same product line/collection called Everafter by Cosmo Cricket.
Normally, I go thru my stash, make a huge mess, and match things up as I go. That works for me because I like to rediscover products.

The base patterned paper on both layouts is by Crate Paper
First square:
I used 2 journal cards from the set, a date alphabet stamp by Stampin Up, and eyelets on each end.

The second square
I used alphabet stamps by- Lawn Fawn called Harold
The black alphabet stickers on this layout are all by Tim Holtz

Third square card
It uses a journal card from the set
The letter stamps are from Oriental Trading Co
The fun kitchen die- cuts are by Cricut
Border stamp on top and bottom are by Inkadinkado

Next layout:
I was able to use a large amount of the borders from the set to frame the patterned paper (by Craft Paper)
I used a border in the center to separate the top and bottom
The top half is the actual moving into their new house and the bottom photos show the surrounding areas of the new house plus 40 acres.

I used two journal cards for the set.
The one on the top and center  and the other is bottom right.

I used the Lawn Fawn alphabet- Harold on: Moving Day, the address in the center and Steve's name at the bottom
I used the Lawn Fawn, "Say Cheese, Too" for the word August and 1972 in the bottom right card.
Lawn Fawn's Riley alphabet stamps in the bottom right corner, "Honda 600"

5 Valentine Cards

Last year a friend and I made a bunch of twisted easel cards for the seniors at my mom's assisted living center. The twisted easel part was wasted for they didn't know what to do with it.
From that project, I have leftover easel cards and the 4x4 card fronts.
Since they were in a basket waiting to be used I finished a few and redid a few by taking apart the easel to make the card fronts into cards that I will be able to use.
I included the original photo of the card below the redo.

This first card was a leftover square that never made it onto an easel card.
Patterned paper by DCWV and K and Co.
Die cuts by Spellbinders, which has eyelets at each end and the sentiment stamp by TPC Studio
Circle die cut by Elle’s Studio
Black ribbon on the left and then layers of cardstock
The card’s base is having a hard time supporting the weight

The next card is a strange combo of colors.
Heart stamp with rose design in the the center is by Stamp N Plus
The patterned paper is by Studio Calico
The heart die cut from eBay
I used a yellow heart eyelet in the center

This next three cards were easy to redo once I removed the 4x4 square off of the easel card, I backed them onto a card base with something new behind it.
This one, I layered a pink cardstock that was dry embossed with hearts.

This one, red cardstock underneath.

And lastly, once this 4x4 card front was ready for redo, I positioned a tape with a lace design down the center of an off white card base and taped the square on top.
It’s a great anniversary card.

Deep Red Stamps Thinking of You

Hi. I stamped the tree scene onto brown cardstock which makes it hard to see but when you have it in your hands it's not as bad as the picture. The stamp is by Deep Red Stamps called.
Nature’s Borders.
The patterned paper is by Studio Calico and My Mind's Eye. I die cut a Spellbinders square and inked the inside before stamping the Stampin' Up sentiment with Hero Arts black ink.

Thanks so much for looking.

Fruity ATC cards

My cards today were for the ATC swap. theme: the color orange, primary orange. The tangerine chipboard is a clothing tag that I cut off the edges with corner decorative scissors and inked the edges orange. The background is a Stampin Up canvas background stamp. I stamped it onto orange cardstock with white Studio Calico paint. I inked the edges orange.

The yellow cardstock on the right side is by Paper Reflections.I sprayed the cardstock with orange Smooches spray by Clear Snap. Once it dried, I stamped a Hero Arts tropical leaves stamp on top using Tsukineko green ink, which I think is called bamboo leaves. It's faint but I like that. Then I randomly cut the edge off to keep the orange in site.

I cut up these Hawaiian menus that Grandma had saved from their cruise in 1985 to get all the little words. (Oh yes, she still had them) I adhered the words to the tag and outlined them with,a white Sharpie marker. The fruit stickers are by American Crafts/Amy Tangerine, the pineapple brads by Eyelet Outlet and the rhinestones from my stash.

The only difference between this second one and the rest is, I added some Spellbinders dies above the tag. It may have been to cover up a mistake. It was also stamped with the leaves stamp.

Christmas card layout

Here's another layout for my Christmas card book(s). I followed the sketch at the bottom.

The tree background paper is by Making Memories as well as the strip of green under the photo and behind the red chipboard swirl. The red patterned paper behind the photo is by Die cuts with a View. The white cardstock is by Recollections and the green corner piece by Sunborn. I inked that corner piece with distress ink.

The Joy tag is by Jolee's/EK Success. The red chipboard has been painted red with paint by Studio Calico.

Fall Stamping ATC's

These ATC's (Artist Trading Cards) were made for a swap and the theme was stamping. The picture below shows the background /basg for the ATC. I stamped border stamps by The Paper Co side by side with these three colors.

These are close ups of each background. You can see there are a few mistakes in the stamping but they will get covered up.

I did a class at church and had to punch a bunch (over 100) of 1 1/2 inch squares in fall colors, which I used my Creative Memories punch. I like to use small pieces for projects like that and I noticed that these four negative pieces were very similar in the size of the left over scrap. It was a small scrap to begin with and I couldn't get another square out of the piece of paper.

I backed the negative square with patterned paper by Studio Calico. The other part of the card for church, we stamped fall like images on these 1 1/4 inch white squares and layered the small square on top of the larger square. I had these left overs white square and adhered them to the center of the negative.

Close ups of each piece.

This is the finished product. I adhered a piece of glittery chipboard by Colorbok underneath the negative square piece and each chipboard is a different shape. I adhered that whole piece to the lovely background from above. Then I embellished the front with some cardboard corrugated circles that I found in my stash and along with a circle epoxy sticker by Studio 112.

Here are some close ups of each one.

Thanks for stopping by.
