Pink Glitter Butterfly Card

The glitter cardstock is by Doodlebug. The purple background is the result of spritzing white paper with Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels. That's all for this card.
But I have more butterflies to come.

Alice in Wonderland Belated Birthday card

Project: This fun fold card is an A2 and is called a Dutch door. The front of  the card base is cut in half so the top of the card opens up separately from the bottom. I hope that makes sense to future me.

The patterned paper is by Cricut and the yellow chained border sticker is by Doodlebug. The stamped sentiment is by Stampendous. I really like this card because it’s so colorful and that is because the patterned paper really does all of the work for you.

The keyhole on the front of the card is a heavy embellishment. I felt as though it fit the movie especially it fits the first scene when she falls down the hole and starts talking to the doorknob.

Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Floral Friday Happy 27th Anniversary to us

This is the anniversary card I made for my husband. Well, we were lucky to be able to take a vacation up north with family on the actual day of our anniversary. Sadly, I forgot the card at home, and even worse, I still haven’t given it to him.

The flower was folded crêpe paper/streamer paper. I had stamped it with a Stampin Up wheel stamp and gave it a little bit of Stickles. The arch die was a Cricut cut. The doily is by Doodlebug. The letters and heart are like Quickuts. And the patterned paper is by Papertrey Ink.

Card made this card for Craft Roulette #219
Parameters:
Project – anniversary.
Colors – garden salad. I looked up salads and found one with brown rice, walnuts, and tomatoes.
Element – new. The letter dies are new to me.
Random – fold a corner. The flower has many folded corners.

Fancy Fold with Kites card for a co-worker

Card standing upright

This card was made for the challenge at
Craft Roulette. The parameters were:
Project-A card for a co-worker (I made this for my cohort. We came up with, 5on5. It’s where we make 5 Christmas cards on the 5th of each month at 5pm)
Colors-kites in the sky (my sky is blue.)
Element- April (I made the same fancy fold for my husband, who’s birthday is in April)
Random-Sparkles (sequins in the bike.)

Card laying down
All of the patterned paper including the designs happy mail, bicycle and the Unique in the right corner are by My Mind’s Eye 6x6 patterned paper pad. I added yellow sequins by Fun Stampers Journey on the wheels.

This is the card folded up and ready to be mailed.
The happy mail stamp is by Lawn Fawn and is stamped with Hero Arts ink. (The post card is from the paper padlock) The sun is a Cute Clip by Doodlebug Designs (Sunny Skies) and inside of the sun is a clear yellow enamel dot.

One more photo of it upright at a different angle.
Thanks for looking and HAGD

Black and white with blue Chipboard Card

The polka dot velvet patterned paper is by the Doodlebug. The white, black, blue, layers are chipboard pieces layered on top of each other. The blue chipboard is by Colorbok and the others are by American Crafts. The sentiment is by Fiskars.

I’m going to try and explain this ribbon thing so that the future me will understand, maybe.

The ribbon is two sided; one side is black and the other is black with white polka dots. So what you’re seeing is both sides of the ribbon because the ribbon goes around the whole stack of chipboard you see the side with polka dots closest to the card base and when it comes out from behind the back you see the polka dots pattern. When it goes around the front, it passes through the belt buckle shaped chipboard and up to the top with the black facing front. Then I stapled them in place. It’s going to cost a little bit (a lot) of postage to mail it but it will be worth it.

 Thanks for looking.

Cricut Yellow and Purple Birthday Presents Card

I made this card using my Cricut. It is a “drawer card”. When Idk what to do with a projectat I stuck it in a drawer after I didn’t like what I did with that. I’m finally sifting through these projects and deciding what to do with them. Unfortunately, like this one, they’re NOT very pretty. But since yellow and purple are complementary colors I don’t mind this one as much…it’s not that bad. Idk, I have mixed feelings on this card, do I like it or do I not like it?

Paisley Fabric Circle cards Part 1

The paisley center is a piece of fabric leftover from my Mom's massive fabric collection.
The border sticker is from Doodlebug.
I used decorative scissors on the edges of orange cardstock on both of the cards.

In the second card, the blue flower is a Cricut cut and the spikey circle is possibly from Scenic Route die-cut. The yellow patterned paper is by Studio Calico (June Card Kit 2014- Dear Lizzy)

Purple Birthday Card with Copic markers to the rescue

I have a cute birthday card with a lot to say about it. Tim Holtz die created the border on tap. The scalloped border is a sticker by Doodlebug. The border at the bottom was a pink sparkle and by Making Memories. Well, things can’t be easy and somewhere it’s got a pen mark on it. I sprayed it with this obnoxious shimmer spray that I recently purchased. It didn’t do much of anything to help my situation. I took a purple, light purple colored marker to the edges. I must say I was quite nervous because my arm tends to jerk.

The happy die is by Clearly Besotted. The word birthday is a draw feature on my Cricut.

The flower stamp is by Stampin Up. I colored it in with Copic markers. It was kind of drab and didn’t do much for the card.

Recycled card base with oval cards

Today I have an upcycled card set. The "patterned paper" is a card that I recycled. It just so happened that the same card had two similar arrangements of flowers on the inside and outside on the bottom. They both needed to hide some text. This made for the perfect area for an oval die-cut. The oval die-cut is by Spellbinders. The sentiment stamp is by Hero Arts. The felt butterfly die-cut is by Little Yellow Bicycle

For the 2nd card,
The chipboard, which is the pink polka dot flower, and the yellow frame for the flower is by Making Memories.
The yellow with pink circle in the center flower is by The Paper Studio.
The border sticker is by Doodlebug.

These cards are certainly not my favorites but I made them so I should post them.

Strawberry Berry Best Wishes Card

My iPad is so slow that I want to scream. Since I’m bed bound after surgery and a few falls, it is my only way to be online. This tension can not be good for me during recovery. “Calgon take me away”. Lol

The sentiment stamp is by Stamps for Life.

The die-cut is by Sizzix.
The border punch is by Fiskars.

The patterned paper and sticker are by Doodlebug.

Cricut Egg Die-Cut Cards and frame

There are some cards that you make and when you look at them later with new eyes, all you can do is wrinkle your nose and shake your head. That’s me with these first 2 cards.

I didn’t send this card out because you can’t really tell that the yellow part in the middle is an egg. Which is something I explain in the last project.

The die-cuts are from my Cricut

The patterned paper is by Doodlebug.

The second card uses a stamp with
3 eggs on it by Studio G
I masked the eggs with Inkadinkado masking paper and colored them in with Copic Markers and colored pencils

The sentiment is a die-cut by Cricut on the Holiday Cakes cartridge

Last thing,
My plan was to create these three frames for my bathroom. I made the two and became frustrated that I couldn’t get the frames to stay on the wall. So, I left the remnants of a third frame on the shelf with the three frames and then I asked my husband for help. He brought me into the bathroom to show me how to hang the frames for the next season. It was at that time that I saw how he used the leftover pieces that were on the shelf to finish the last frame for me.
He had the back of one egg left which is why the first card in this post does not have an egg back like these ones. I still don’t know where the solid colored egg is.

I like his frame better than mine. Lol.

Easter basket cards

For today's three cards, I used the same basket stamp from a dollar basket at Michael’s (no pun intended). I colored it in with colored pencils and Copic markers. I inked the edges with yellow distress ink. And then adhered it to the card with a piece of foam in order to be the height of the chipboard corner pieces that are by Making Memories. The patterned paper is by Scrap Happy.

The second card, the die cut is by Sizzix with ribbon by Offray weaved thru the holes on the scallop edges of the oval scallop die-cut to create this image. Something different for me but kind of cute. The patterned paper is by Doodlebug.
For the third card, I used patterned paper by Imaginisice and a border sticker by Doodlebug. Besides the cardstock from my stash, that’s all for this card.
I included this picture of all three cards made with the same stamp. The comparison is interesting to see the different looks you can achieve with the same stamp.
Quick side note on card bases: I’m disappointed in the card stock used on the third's card base. The card will not stay standing up. It just slides open.
I hate to say it and pay for it but it’s time to invest in a heavier weight card stock for my horizontal card bases.

Bunnies are in my yard and now on my cards.

For the first three cards, I use a bunny stamp by Stamp N Plus Scrapping.
I colored it in with Copic markers

The die-cuts:
Square by Sizzix-I inked the inside with distress ink and the Oval by Cricut

The patterned paper is by The Paper Studio (I love the pretty egg colors)

My second bunny card, it was cut out with a Sizzix square die and inked on the inside with distress ink.

The background paper is by Making Memories

The sentiment is a Imaginisice stamp stamped onto a Spellbinders die cut
That cardstock is by Bazzill
The ribbon is by Offray

For my third card, The journal sticker with the carrot is by Reminisce

Yellow Butterfly tag on Red patterned paper background card

My card today could be used for any occasion.

The butterfly stamp is by Stampin Up.
I colored it in with Copic and cut it out close to the edge to include some white around the image.

The yellow tag die-cut was cut out with my Cricut. The tag is set with a large eyelet from my Mom’s stash.
The off-white ribbon is by Offray.

The patterned paper is by October Afternoon
I heavily inked it with yellow distress ink. The spaces in the patterned paper that are in between the red were off-white and I wanted the paper to match my butterfly's tag.

⦁Yellow distress ink to the rescue.
There is a bit of red ink blended into the edges.
The ribbon in the center is by...hmmm...my guess is Doodlebug.
