Sassy Studio Designs Olaf

Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring the challenge at Crafting from the Heart and the theme is anything goes. I'm using the Olaf image from Disney Pixar's movie Frozen that was a freebie from Sassy Studio Designs when the images were released last April. You can see all the SSD Frozen images HERE.

I printed him out onto Strathmore watercolor paper and colored him in with distress ink and water mixed with Perfect Pearls. Then he sat for a while until I got this fun new card base by Sizzix. I cut him down to the size of the square in the center and inked his edges with blue distress ink. I had also printed out the SentiMints sentiment from SSD and inked its edges with blue distress ink. The card base is white cardstock by Doodlebug Designs and the glitter cardstock is by Recollections.

Manly Monday Buck Deer

Post edited April 2021. See the sidebar for explanation

For my card the Buck Deer stamp is by Deep Red Stamps and can be found at

and

I stamped him in Stampin Up brown ink and colored him in with their watercolor pencils. I didn't watercolor anything because the SU ink isn't a good ink to do that with and I didn't use watercolor paper. The orange patterned paper is by My Mind's Eye and brown by Making Memories. The sentiment sticker is by SRM Stickers, the ribbon by Offray and the leaf brad by Creative Imaginations.

Welcome back to Manly Monday. I have just a few cards to share with you this week. I'm away from my computer visiting family at the moment. I hope you will stop by these ladies blog posts and check out their masculine cards. Click on the blog name above the clip of their card.

Wedding Bell Card

My card today is a wedding card because that is where we were yesterday. The bell stamp is by Stampin Up onto watercolor paper by Ranger. {I wasn't sure where I was going with this card when I started so that is why it was stamped on watercolor paper.} I stamped the bell with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder by Hero Arts. Then I die cut the bell out with a Spellbinders die and inked the inside with distress ink. I don't know who the papers are by but I know the rhinestone flourish is by Want 2 Scrap, the rub-on sentiment is by Pebbles and the glitter tape at the bottom is by American Crafts.

Pretty plain and simple today. Thanks for looking.

Snow Queen Sassy Twisted Easel card

Sassy Studio Design is sponsoring the challenge at Outlawz and the challenge theme is twisted easel card. I'm using Snow Queen Sassy for my little card and a tutorial by Splitcoast Stampers.

I printed the image out onto Strathmore watercolor paper and colored her in with distress inks mixed with water and Perfect Pearls. Her cape is colored in with Stardust powdered chalk mixed with white acrylic paint, both by Stamp N Plus. I die cut the image out with a Spellbinders die and inked the inside with distress ink and an ink blending tool.

The shape of the card is another die cut by Spellbinders using Bazzill turquoise cardstock and then the white cardstock is by Recollections. The Happy Birthday is a sticker but I don't have a manufacturer listed anywhere on the sticker pack, sorry. {I think I bought it at the outlet store for Notions which is in Grand Rapids-20 minutes south of where I live, and stuff that is there to purchase sometimes has damaged packaging and therefore they put it out for a discounted price.} The blue glittery snowflakes are die cuts using my Cricut and then applying Martha Stewart blue glitter to them. The snowflake brads are by Oriental Trading Co and they are fuzzy to the touch.

Sassy Studio Designs Release Day

Today is the day for the June release at Sassy Studio Designs. This month also marks the 6th year anniversary for SSD and so we have a large blog hop for you to participate in for prizes and later on tonight there will be a live chat you can be a part of.

I made my card with the new zodiac images and this one is Cancer which is right now, June 21 - July 22. It's a little risque but kind of fun at the same time. I printed her out onto Cryogen cardstock and colored her in with Copic Markers. The background papers are by Basic Grey and the seam is covered by ribbon from Ben Franklin's.

A little while back Cricut Craft Room had a free cut of the week and it featured all the zodiac signs and names. I took advantage of it and cut out the sentiment and the red shadow with both white and red cardstock by Recollections. The crab was also part of the freebie and the cardstock is also by Recollections. The star-like pieces are covered with Stickles by Ranger and I made the eyes black with Clearsnap's Smooch ink. I did run the two layers of the crab through my Cuttlebug with a Provo Craft embossing folder.

My card size is bigger than I usually make them. It is size 4 x 7 with the thicker cardstock by The Paper Studio/Hobby Lobby.

So leave a comment on my blog for your chance to win this cancer image as well as the other design team blogs for a chance to win their image. The complete release will be awarded to one person that comments on all the blogs.

Fairy, It's Your Day!

Hey there. I wanted to post a new card today but I don't have a lot of time to talk about it.
I used the Dreamweaver Stencils products:

The fairy stencil was made with Stampin Up watercolor pencils and the sentiment with white embossing paste mixed with yellowish green acrylic paint mixed into it.

Sorry I'm short on time. See you soon.

Love in Pink

My card today uses a stamp by Autumn Leaves. I stamped it with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder by Stamp N Plus. Then I used my Peerless watercolors and a water pen by Ranger to color it in. I filled in the rest of the image and its surrounding area with yellow because I knew I was going to be pairing yellow and pink together for this card. I die cut the image with a Sizzix die cut and matted behind it a Spellbinders die cut out of SEI cardstock.
The yellow patterned paper is by Crate Papers and the pink paper on top of it is by Studio G with the pink background patterned paper is by Basic Grey.

Newton's Nook Thinking of You

I have a new card to share with you today using stamps by Newton's Nook. I love this Versatile Vases stamp set because you can build your own flower arrangement.

I stamped the combination of flowers and pot onto Ranger watercolor cardstock with Hero Arts black ink. I used Stampin Up watercolor pencils to color the image in and then used a water pen by Ranger and water to smooth out the colors and edges of the colored pencils. I die cut the image out with a Spellbinders die cut and inked the inside with distress ink. The die cut behind the image was cut out using my Cricut. The paper on top is by Color-Aid and has been dry embossed with a Gina Marie Butterflies embossing folder. The bottom paper is unknown but the ribbon is old by Ben Franklin's and the sentiment, by Newton's Nook, is stamped with Clearsnap pigment ink.

Manly Monday Antique Globe

Post edited April 2021. See sidebar for explanation

Today my masculine card uses the Antique Globe stamp by Deep Red Stamp and you can find it at
and

I stamped the globe with Hero Arts black ink onto white cardstock by Recollections. I colored it in with colored pencils by Stampin Up. Then I die cut the image out with a Design Objectives die and inked the inside with distress ink. I die cut a scallop square by Spellbinders and adhered it behind the image. The brown paper that has been embossed by a Darice wood grain folder is by Making Memories and the brown cardstock used in the scallop square and the back background is from Joann's.
The sentiment is a stencil called Birthday Words by Dreamweaver Stencils that I applied white embossing paste to the ribbon. It adds another fun texture to the card. Ribbon and brads are unknown.

Welcome back to Manly Monday. I have a great selection of masculine cards to share with you today. As always, please click on the blog name above the photo clip to be directed to the blog post of the masculine card.

I'm no plain Jane

Today Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring the challenge at Crafting from the Heart to which we were told the theme was to be "cheeky". I went to the website to write this post and it says all challenges are anything goes so I hope you like my cheeky card that I was so worried about. Lol.

I'm using Jungle Jane Sassy as my image for this card. I printed her out onto Cryogen cardstock and colored her in with Copic markers and colored pencils by Stampin Up. I fussy cut her out and set her aside while I made the rest of the card. The green frame paper is by Best Creations and the patterned paper in the background is by Basic Grey. The brown cardstock is by Coredinations, white by Recollections and the two greens by Provo Craft. I cut the leaves out with my Cricut and the Life's a Beach cartridge. The alphabet letters are by Lawn Fawn with ink by Stampin Up.

Lawn Fawn Sending Hugs

For my card today I'm using a Lawn Fawn bicycle stamp, grass stamp, sentiment stamp and die cut. I started by stamping the bicycle in Hero Arts black ink and then masking the bike off with a big Post It note, I then stamped the grass with ink by Tsukineko and the sentiment with Charcoal Hero Arts shadow ink. I colored the bicycle in with powdered chalk mixed with paint and die cut the image out.

For the background paper, I started with polka dot patterned paper by Scenic Route by stamping a Hero Arts background stamp on it with Versa Mark ink. I heat embossed the background with clear embossing powder by Stamp N Plus. Then I inked the edges of the patterned paper with blue distress ink and an ink blending tool bother by Ranger. I finished by adhering the bicycle die cut to the background.

Deep Red Stamps Bridal Gown

This is one of those cards that I wish would have photographed better then it did. I tried something new to me by applying silver embossing paste onto glitter cardstock. The stencil I used is by Dreamweaver Stencils and it is called Petals Background and the like I said the embossing paste was silver by Dreamweaver Stencils/Stampendous

The stamped image is by Deep Red Stamps and it is called Formal Gown with Floral Corner. You can find it at
and/or

I stamped the gown with Hero Arts black ink and colored it in with Stardust and Dandy powdered chalk mixed with white acrylic paint. Both products are by Stamp N Plus. I didn't use the corner on this card but can see using it in  the future. The last thing I used was ribbon by Queen and Co.
