Manly Monday Red Truck

Welcome back to Manly Monday. I'm running a little behind due to uninvited guests that came over and wouldn't leave. Lol. I have a great handful of manly cards for you to check out. Click on the blog's name and you will be directed to the card.

My Manly card today uses a truck stamp by Great Impressions stamps.

I stamped it onto white Recollections cardstock with Hero Arts black ink and colored it in with Stampin Up colored pencils. Then I die cut the image with a Spellbinders circle die and embossed it. While the die cut was still in the die I inked the inside with red distress ink.

I embossed the grey cardstock with a Sizzix embossing folder but I masked off the circle where the image is to add interest. I inked the embossed area with Colorbox cat eye inks. The sentiment is by Stampendous with Hero Arts black ink.

On Your Wedding Day

My card today is a wedding card that a lot of the manufacturers no longer exist.

The wedding bells stamp says 1993 Embossing Arts Co. and the sentiment is by Great Impressions. I heat embossed both stamps with Versa Mark ink and silver embossing powder by Stampendous. The bells were colored in with distress ink and a water pen. I'm not sure who the flower patterned paper is by but the stripped is old from Creative Memories. The left side has a piece of white cardstock with a Hero Arts background stamp in pink that I inked the edges with distress ink and an ink blending tool both by Ranger Industries. The silver paper and iridescent paper strip are both by Creative Memories.

Praying Hands Cards

Today I have two similar cards using the same Inkadinkado praying hands stamp.

For the first card I stamped the hands onto Ranger distress watercolor paper with Hero Arts Charcoal ink and colored it in with distress inks and a water pen both by Ranger. I cut the image into a small square and layered it on top of a Spellbinders die cut that is made with Forever in Time blue vellum. The patterned paper is from my local scrapbook store and there is no manufacturer name on it. I adhered the patterned paper to Bazzill cardstock in a light green color that matched the flowers on the paper. Using that same green cardstock I die cut and embossed a border die by Spellbinders. The second border is also by Spellbinders and the different paper is by K and Co. To finish I stamped the sentiment, which is by Stampendous in the same ink as the image.

For the second card I stamped with the same stamp and ink but this time onto Strathmore watercolor paper. I colored it in the same and layered on the same vellum die cut. The patterned paper piece is smaller in my second card and on to blue Coredinations cardstock. The patterned paper for the border die is by Making Memories, the polka dot ribbon is by Stampin Up, and the sentiment is stamped onto a Sizzix die.

Yeehaw! Horse card

Today's card uses a horse stamp by Inkadinkado. I stamped it with brown Stampin Up ink and die cut him out with a Spellbinders die. I inked the inside of the die with different color distress inks to represent the sun, sky, and ground. Then I die cut the die behind the image which is also a Spellbinders die. I inked the areas open on the paper before taking it out of the die. The patterned paper is by Best Creations {Are they even still around?} and the hemp cord is by The Beadery. I made the sentiment with Lawn Fawn alphabet stamps on a Sizzix die cut. The white die cut on the sentiments edges is the same die but cut in half and then adhered to the card as if it were a really long die cut.

With Sympathy

Today's card uses a Clearly Besotted stamp and die cut. I die cut the shape first before stamping it because the die is closed and I wouldn't be able to see if it was cutting out correctly whereas I can see where I'm stamping with the clear stamps. The flowers and the stems/leaves are separate stamps but I did the same technique for each. I inked the stamp with a light color and stamped it and then went in with a darker color, rubbing some of it away first and stamping on top of the already stamped image. I didn't have two good shades of yellow so I went with an orange color. The ink pads I used are by Stampin Up, Close to my Heart, and Clearsnap.

I adhered the flower die cut onto a Spellbinders die cut.The sentiment is stamped with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with Ranger's platinum embossing powder. The patterned papers are by Studio G.

Manly Monday Buck

Welcome to Manly Monday. Be sure to stop by and check out the fun manly projects by clicking on the blog name. Check the bottom for my card.

Those were fabulous everyone. Thanks for letting me post to them.

My card uses a Jennifer Rzasa technique of debossing the image with a chipboard cut out of the image and running it through my die cut machine. I stamped the bucks head with Hero Arts black ink. The green cardstock is by Creative Memories, the brown behind it by Stampin Up and the patterned paper is by The Paper Studio.

I heat embossed the sentiment with Versa Mark ink and Ranger Platinum embossing powder with a Fiskars stamp onto green vellum by Paper reflections. It's nice because it is a sticky back vellum.

French Maid Card

My card today uses a digital stamp from Sassy Studio Designs. I printed her out onto Cryogen cardstock and colored her in with Copic markers. I added ribbon to the corners. which the purple is by Karen Foster and the black is from my stash. The label for the sentiment is an old Creative Memories sticker that I cut off the edges to make it fit on the image. The hello sticker is by Pebbles, the purple rhinestone by Want 2 Scrap and the black pearl is by Forever in Time. The purple cardstock is by Coredinations and the black polka dot paper is by Papertrey Ink.

Making the World Sparkle

For my card I colored in the fish stamp by Stamp N Plus with distress markers and sprayed the stamp with water before stamping it onto white cardstock. Then I inked the all of the cardstock around the fish before deciding to die cut the fish out with a Spellbinders die. I wanted to make waves for the bottom of the card so I took a stencil called Mini Wedding ring and used the side with the swirl. I inked that one side with distress ink, well actually 3 different distress inks. I tried to off set the pattern a little bit and then once I was finished I inked the edges. The sentiment stamp is by Stampendous and fit perfectly with this little circle punch by EK Success. I matted the white piece onto Color Aid paper. The image is popped up with foam sheets from Dollar General. {Sort of like Fun Foam}

Embossed Butterfly

My card today is a get well card which I don't find myself making enough of these or better yet I don't send enough of these out to people. I think this card is quite pretty and would cheer up someone's day if they received it.

The butterfly stamp is by:
and can be found at:

I heat embossed the image with Versa Mark ink and Ranger's platinum embossing powder. Then I colored it in with distress inks, an ink blending tool, and also some nibs all by Ranger Industries. I picked the papers I wanted to use before coloring it in so that when I was finished I fussy cut most of the butterfly out and set it aside while I constructed the rest of the my card front. All of the patterned papers are by Basic Grey. The ribbon is by Pebbles, sentiment by K and Co, rhinestones by TPC Studio and flower sticker by EK Success. The sentiment sticker is on a Spellbinders die cut made of Recollections white cardstock. I hope you like it.

Water Coloring Owl

I did some water coloring yesterday with my Peerless watercolors on some Ranger watercolor paper. I cut this strip out of it and matted it onto some light olive colored cardstock and then onto the blue. One little trick I found to do with watercolor paper if it is warped is run it through your Cuttlebug with the sandwich as if you were embossing a Spellbinders die (for me that's A plate, 2 B plates, and a piece of chipboard.). It will straighten out your watercolor paper and make it easier to adhere onto other cardstock.

The fun part of my card is the owl and it's die cuts. The wood veneer frame is by Maya Roads. I die cut a white and then a sparkly shape that mimics the wood. Then I die cut the two pennants hanging down from it. I used the Art Philosophy cartridge with my Cricut with Recollections paper. Then the owl in the center is a brad by Eyelet Outlet. I didn't add a sentiment yet because I'm still pondering if this would make a good graduation card or not.
