Deep Red Stamps in Purple

'I have a beautiful new purple card to share today. The patterned paper is by Quick Quotes, part of a 6x6 pad I won a few months back. Throughout my shopping either at stores or on the internet, I have a hard time finding purple patterned paper in the 6x6 pads. I came across this one and had to get.

The stamp I used is called Violet Chalk Flowers and can be found at A Cherry on Top and/or at Scrapbook dot com. I heat embossed the image onto Neenah Solar White Cardstock with Versa Mark ink and white embossing powder by Stamp N Plus. I then used Spun Sugar and Milled Lavender distress inks by Ranger to bring in the color starting from the edges and carefully with a light hand pulling it into the center. I love my blending tools also by Ranger for this technique. On the flowers and leaves I used a water pen with distress markers ink. Once I was happy with it I sprayed the entire image with water mixed with Ranger's Perfect Pearls. It gives the whole piece a beautiful shimmer.

For the rest of my card I used dark purple cardstock by Bazzill, embossing folder is by Darice and light purple cardstock is unknown.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look.
