I stamped the llama image with black Memento ink and I colored it in with Copic markers. (See the colors I used in the photo below.) Then I adhered it to the top folding card on a card. When you lift up the llama card front, you see a graduation cap that I cut out with my Cricut. The orange ribbon is from Michaels. Funny thing, I tried so hard to conceal the ribbon behind the white flap. After fiddling with it and it wouldn't do what I wanted it to. When I closed the flap and I liked it better sticking out from behind. Then I had to fiddle with it and make it stick out more.
I heat embossed the background stamp with red, magenta, and orange embossing powders on white cardstock. Then I heat embossed a sentiment on a piece of vellum with Magenta embossing powder. I used a Xyron sticker maker to adhere the sentiment to the background.
Craft Roulette #268. Parameters: Project: A card for a student. This is a quirky graduation card for Maya. Colors: In modern. It's black and white with a loud color to carry the load and give it a pop. Element: Clothing. The llama has a covering on its back, but you could count the graduation hat. Random: Abstract blob. The flowers in the background stamp by Hero Arts look like blobs.
The colors in this card are loosely based on this Color Cube card.
Thanks for looking.
