Chalk Ah Lot Christmas

I'm posting to on the Chalk Ah Lot blog today. The theme is Christmas with chalk. I used chalk two different ways for my card today. The cardinal is colored in with powdered chalk and paint by Stamp N Plus. The ink I used for the image is by Hero Arts and it works well with the paint mixture.

The background paper is also made with powdered chalk and paint. When I have left overs of the mixture I paint it onto a spare sheet of cardstock to use later. I took the cardstock and dry embossed it with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

I adhered red vintage lace around the corners and thought this isn't enough. So I added some Martha Stewart ribbon with a "button" my mom gave me. Then the sentiment stamp was stamped onto this Spellbinders die cut with Stampin Up white craft ink.

Thanks so much for looking.
