I love that there are so many different styles that one can portray when making cards. Today's card showcases one of those different for me styles-Steam Punk. I made this card for the challenge at Kenny K using THIS image, which is not as steam punk as some of his other images but I gave it my best shot with what I have.
The image is colored using Copic markers on Cryogen paper. I really like the shading of the guitar but for the rest I'm still working on lighting and hair. The patterned paper is by Scrap Works and I used various scraps of cardstock for the embellishments. I used a die cut by Sizzix-Tim Holtz and then I cut some gears out using Cricut's Indie Art cartridge. The die cut is positioned to the right {not sure if those are cogs or gears-but the aqua border down the side} which I secured to the card with washi tape. I ripped the washi tape down the center so it wasn't so wide covering up my die cut.
The brown circle, upper left, is stamped with a Fiskars polka dot circle stamp with Stampin Up craft ink. The clock is by Stamper's Anonymous. I heat embossed it with Versa Mark ink and Ranger Industries embossing powder. The arrow and brad are by Tim Holtz. Last little things; circle punches by EK Success and Creative Memories, aqua letters by Cosmo Cricket, brown letters by Colorbox and sequins by Multi Craft Imports.
Thanks for looking.
