Cricut Halloween card

The pumpkin tag is from the cartridge Wrap it Up. The patterned paper is by Die Cuts with a View. The orange paper is by K and Co. I used green washi tape in the center. The Boo sentiment stamp is by Craft Smart.

And I won.

Trick or Treat Cricut Pumpkin Tag Card

My card today features a fun background stamp by Deep Red Stamps.

It's called Burlwood and can be found at Oozak's (out of business). If you look at the pattern, you can find what resembles faces. My husband says he sees a dog's face in there. So I teamed up this background stamp with a Cricut die-cut for a little different-looking Halloween card. I'm not really sure why I make Halloween cards because I never send them out:)

The background is heat embossed in black by Stampendous and then inked with Dusty Concord distress marker, water, and a sponge. The water is mixed with Perfect Pearls by Ranger. The pumpkin is from the Autumn Celebrations cartridge and I used scraps of paper I had laying around.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look. I'm off to get my oil changed. I know, I live an exciting life:)

Halloween tags

For my tags today, I did the same design but slightly different supplies. I taught a class that featured this design of tag and two other fall cards. They are different because I didn't actually finish either tag while teaching. Just parts of one and parts of the other. Once I returned home I finished things up a bit.

I'll start with the first one which is dry embossed with a Fiskars embossing plate. I then inked the edges with Ranger distress ink using an ink blender tool. I love that look:)

On the left side I fit a piece of black cardstock to the tag and then used the patterned washi tape to finish the edge. The pumpkin border is by K and Co and I cut small pieces of black cardstock to paste behind the border for the eyes and mouths before adhering it to my tag. The center die cut is by Quickutz with Bazzill purple cardstock, the owl sticker is by Bo Bunny, and the bat sticker by Jolee's.

For the second tag, I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder and a bit lighter color distress ink for the edges. The black cardstock and different patterned washi tape are on the left side just like above. I did the same technique with the glittery skull border placing cardstock behind to make the eyes and nose appear orange.

For the center I used a Spellbinders scallop die cut and a square punch by Creative Memories for my spider stamp by Inkadinkadoo stamped with black Hero Arts ink. The orange ribbon is a scrap from my stash.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I'll be back again tomorrow with another Halloween creation. I hope you will come back and check it out.

IT WAS A TON OF WORK.
Quick note, when I enlarged the tags they were really blurry. So I kept the original and enlarged one.

Halloween tag

I made this tag at a class I taught on Saturday. I like making tags because you can set them aside and use them on layouts or cards or just start a tag collection. That would make a great Your Story book: a book of tags. It could serve as inspiration at a later date or to just marvel at the lovely tags you have made. hmmmm

Anyway, this is a Tim Holtz tag that I sprayed with water and Perfect Pearls. I then crumbled the tag up into a little ball and smoothed it out afterwards. Then I took the distressing ink pads Red Barn and Wild Honey and rubbed them over the tag. I used lighter colors so the black would really stand out. After that I used an Inkadinkado leaf flourish stamp with Colorbox black ink and stamped the side so a little of the image went off the edge. The Trick or Treat stamp is a friend of mine and she doesn't keep them in the package-so Idk who makes that stamp. Then I took some Pearl X and dipped my finger in and smeared it along the edges. After it dried I placed the ribbon (Fancy Pants) through the top and the epoxy stickers in the left lower corner. The striped, Oct and 31 stickers are by Making Memories.

Thanks for taking a look at my Halloween tag
