Our awesome Neighbor's Christmas Card from 2010 Layout

A new layout today to add to my Christmas card book. I used patterned paper from Stampin Up, Bo Bunny, Die Cuts with a View, Anna Griffin, My Mind's Eye, and Recollections glitter paper.  I followed the sketch at (My Creative Sketches THE BLOG CLOSED IN 2017 BUT STILL HAS SOME GREAT EXAMPLES TO CHECK OUT). I also used the Cricut and cartridge Don Juan for my title and Plantin Schoolbook for the circles.

Newton's Nook Mason Jar

My card today uses a few stamps by Newton's Nook. I stamped the mason jar and then the flowers in black ink by Hero Arts onto watercolor paper by Ranger. I die cut the image out using a rectangle Spellbinders die and inked the inside with distress ink by Ranger Industries. I used the same medium to color in the flower and the water using a water pen and water to apply the distress ink. Then I  applied Glossy Accents by Ranger Industries to the water only. 

The background patterned paper is by Stamipin Up {I think} with the white cardstock by Recollections. The thick ribbon is from my stash  and the sentiment sticker is by Sticko/EK Success. The small flower is burlap and by the company The Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby. The other two flowers are made of paper and come from Oriental Trading Company.

Deep Red Stamp with a Happy Scooter

Hi-dee-ho! I have a new card to share using a scooter stamp by Deep Red Stamp. I stamped it onto watercolor paper by Ranger and colored it in with distress inks and a water pen both by Ranger. I die cut it out with a Spellbinders rounded square and inked the inside with distress ink. The black scallop frame behind and the banner are Cricut cuts CM Holiday Tags and stuff {or something like that}. The background paper is by Bazzill and all other cardstock even glittery is by Recollections. The happy stickers are by Forever in time.

Manly Monday The Journey

My card today uses stamps by Stamper Anonymous. I stamped the car in SU brown ink and inked the edges heavily with Old Paper distress ink. The sentiment is stamped with Hero Arts black ink and then inked the edges with the same as the car. The brown cardstock {by Recollections} is dry embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and then matted with some kraft cardstock. I think all the cardstock in this card is by Recollections. The background paper is by Karen Foster.

Deep Red Stamps Bible and Rosary

My card for today uses a Deep Red Stamp, Bible and Rosary, which you can find at

I stamped it onto watercolor paper by Strathmore with Hero Arts black ink. I colored the top of the bible with powdered chalk mixed with paint both by Stamp N Plus and colored the rest of it in with distress inks and water. The sticker sentiment is by Sticko and the brown ribbon by The Paper Studio. All the other cardstock is by Recollections and then the button and the other trimming were from my MIL's stash.

Upsy Daisy Yellow Get Well Card

I made another card using the Upsy Daisy stamp set by Stampin Up. I colored the back of the stamp with distress markers and sprayed them with water before stamping them onto watercolor cardstock. I then ripped the top edge of the watercolor paper and matted it onto the patterned paper by Studio G. The background patterned paper is by My Mind's Eye and the cardstock is by Coredinations. The ribbon is tied in a bow around the panel and I stamped the sentiment by Gina Marie with Hero Arts ink.

 I created a mask for the inside and used distress ink to appear like water. I then added some punched shapes by CM punches from way back. I adhered the jar onto Recollections blue cardstock and then again onto Coredinations darker blue cardstock. The background paper is unknown but the sentiment is by Doodlebug and the blue circles above and below the sentiment are by Imaginisce. I used their heat tool to melt the adhesive on the back and adhere to the card.

Sassy Studio Designs Spots and Dots

This week at Sassy Studio Designs the theme is spots and dots. I colored Anna {Nordic Princess} with Copic markers and I will say this is a tough one to color. Those little designs on her dress are challenging to color with my weak and shaky hands. But once I was into it so much I had to finish her up and make her into a card. Imperfections and all. 

The die cuts are by Spellbinders and Cricut. The patterned paper is by Papertrey Ink and Recollections. The cardstock for the flourishes come from a Provo Craft stack of paper. The polka dots on my card are from a Hero Arts stamp and ink. I used distress ink on the inside of the image die cut.

Purple Bottle Cap Card

Today's card has no stamps in it at all. The light purple and gold patterned paper by Basic Grey. The purple patterned paper in the circle is by Best Creations. All the rest of the paper came from scraps in my stash. The bottle cap is a recycled cap that my husband was able to make flatter through the magic of his barn tools. He's told me before how he does it but honestly its not high on my list of things I need to know. I used circle punches by Creative Memories on the papers under the cap. The sentiment stickers came from Joann's Fabric Store and the border punch that I used is by Fiskars. 

Pink Thinking of You

Here is a nice CAS card for today. The image is a Stampin Up stamp from a while back. I stamped it with black ink by HeroArts onto regular white cardstock. I used distress markers by Ranger to color in the flowers and then used a Wink of Stella glitter brush to give it some life. Behind the image is a pink mulberry paper that I pulled all the edges out so they would look frayed. The ribbon is by The Paper Studio, patterned paper by Studio G and the sentiment sticker is by Pebbles.

Classic Black and White car kind of card for today.

The car stamp is by K and I Memories which has been stamped with Hero Arts black ink. Then I matted the image with black cardstock. All of the papers in this card are by Recollections, The gear die cuts are by Spellbinders and the sentiment die cut sticker is by Jolee's/EK Success.

Doily Card with Bible Verse

I have a little bit different card to share today. I acquired a ton of doilies from my mother and mother-in-law and so I decided to use one on a card. The background is a background stamp by Hero Arts that I stamped with distress ink Tattered Rose. The middle piece of the card is patterned paper by Prima and the rick rack is by Wright's. The sentiment stamp by Gina Marie is in the set Great Bible Quotes stamped with Hero Arts black ink. I die cut the sentiment out with a Spellbinders die and inked the inside with the same ink as the background stamp. Then I die cut a coordinating scalloped circle to go behind the sentiment.

World Card Making Day Card 8

Last one for the day. New Lawn Fawn stamps colored with Copics and die cut out using a Spellbinders die. The background is faux letter press with a Gina Marie embossing folder and Colorbox ink. The patterned paper is by Papertrey Ink.

World Card Making Day Card 7

I have another card for World Card Making Day before it ends. This one uses a faux letterpress technique with a Cuttlebug folder and some Colorbox pigment ink on top. The patterned papers are by Papertrey Ink and the ribbon by Stampin Up. The stamp is a new one by Lawn Fawn that I stamped with Versa Color black ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder by Stamp N Plus. Then I colored him in with Smooch ink also by Colorbox, die cut him out with a Spellbinders die and inked the inside with Ranger's distress ink. I think he's kind of cute.

World Card Making Day Card 4

I made this card for the Scrapbook and Cards Now magazine color Suite challenge.

I didn't use all the colors just the purple and the aqua. The stamp is by Tim Holtz and I colored it in with distress inks. The die cut under the image is by Dreamweaver Stencils out of Basic Grey patterned paper. The background paper is by Quick Quotes. The Happy die cut is by Clearly Besotted and the Wishes is from my Cricut. The felt ribbon was in my MIL's things when she moved from her house to the home I received all crafty things.

The background paper is by Basic Grey and the yellow cardstock is by Bazzill. I dry embossed the cardstock with a Darice embossing folder and then covered the center seam with Pebbles ribbon. The sentiment is a Karen Foster sticker.
