Gold leaves Heat embossed background card

I'm posting for the Chalk Ah Lot challenge which is:

One word sentiment with chalk.

I made this lovely background by heat embossing a piece of white cardstock with a background leaf stamp and a gold embossing powder both by Stamp N Plus. After it was embossed I mixed together two powdered chalks with paint and applied it to my cardstock with a 1" wide paint brush. The powdered chalk streaks making the a unique color and beautiful effect. I just wiped the stamped leaves off with a dry towel to remove any chalk that may have been left over.

I matted the handmade background onto Oriental Trading Co kraft cardstock. I then adhered some golden Stampin Up ribbon to the center with lace on top. The lace is from my MIL's sewing stash. It matches the color of the chalk beautifully.

The sentiment is white cardstock and a Papertrey Ink die cut. I stamped the Stamp N Plus Happy sentiment with Close to my Heart ink and then inked the edges with Ranger Distress inks. I used foam adhesive around the edges because the ribbon and lace creates dimension.

If you are interested in ordering the leaves background or the sentiment stamp set or the gold embossing powder, please call Luann at 715-271-1873.

Here is the sentiment stamp set: It's such a beautiful font.
