I'm back again with another Christmas ticket stamp from Deep Red Stamps. This one features children walking. It comes in a set of four different tickets that can be used on card or maybe an embellishment for a scrapbook layout. I used the Santa ticket in THIS-yesterdays- blog post.
You can purchase the Tis the Season Ticket stamps at A Cherry on Top.
I stamped the ticket onto white Neenah cardstock and then trimmed it down to allow the edges to be distressed. I used an a pair of decorative scissors to scrape the edges of the cardstock making them look frayed. I used some distress ink by Ranger to give the white cardstock a more worn appearance. I colored in the people with distress markers and put a circle of distress Stickles around the people.
I love the vintage feel from this patterned paper by Bo Bunny. It works perfectly with the Christmas ticket stub. I used a Cuttlebug folder to dry emboss the cardstock strip of paper that separates the two patterned papers. To give it a vintage look I used a ink blender and distress ink from Ranger Industries.
The label die that the tag is mounted on is cut out from my Cricut using the Art Philosophy cartridge. The ribbon in my card is felt and it is by Oriental Trading Co. In order to get the ribbon to thread underneath the stamped image I punched the label die cut with the Geometric Multi-Maker punch from Creative Memories. It's probably 8 years old and I rarely use it because the design of where your paper goes in to be punched is ass-backwards to me. I feel like they should have made the slits punch in the other direction. But you know they didn't ask me to try it for them before they tried to sell it to people. Their loss. To finish the card I added a rub on sentiment by Bo Bunny on off white cardstock.
Thanks for stopping by.

This is the most wonderful vintage card. I love how it makes me feel a real blast to the past, how it makes me feel the comfort of times gone by. It is a wonderful way to show the joy that was present in these times when family came together, when the fireplace burned, when the extended family was together. You have really captured something very very special in your art...by including nature, the ticket image and theme and of course the theme of our challenge over at Path of Positivity - JOY. I am really glad you entered your card this month. You give us as DT joy by looking at it and all the other entrants as well. I hope you will come back again...your skills as a creative artist are so wonderful to see. Soulfully yours, Samara xox DT POP
