St. Patrick’s Day Cards

This is a long post.

I’m going to be brief because there are a lot of cards.

I used my Cricut to draw and cut the die-cuts in the first seven cards and then thing for around his neck.

The patterned paper for the beer mug, keg, and the card with a corner pp and border is by Accord Publishing. It was a calendar from 2010. There’s a picture halfway down the post.

This first one, I made the smiley face to put the headband on. HAPPY is by Lawn Fawn.

Pp for the pot is by The Paper Studio. Sentiment by Lawn Fawn.

Dry embossing folder by Darice.

Green circle is an up cycled thing from subway. I tried to stamp a shamrock on the ribbon but it didn’t work.

Cheers die-cut is by Lawn Fawn.

This is the Accord Publishing paper I used.

I made this card and thing for around his neck for my cousin’s son so that his “Pa” won’t pinch him for not wearing green. I have a a

The sentiment is by Taylored Expressions

The die-cut Cricut draw and cut

The sticker sentiment is by Sticko.

This lovely lady finally made it onto a card. I found her online years ago when I was doing ATC’s.
The green shamrock pattern is fabric. It’s fraying and I kind of liked it that way.
The striped patterned paper is by Best Creations

This next card is simple but still nice.
I die-cut the border with my Cricut.
The pp is from the Accord Publishing calendar.
The sentiment stamp is by Stampin Up.

This card front is an up cycled piece of another card that came in the mail many years ago to my MIL. I put the company’s information in between the two pictures

Cut off the front of the one card and place it on patterned paper by Accord Publishing to make another.

Happy Birthday Sweetie Pi Card

My cousin's daughter's birthday is today.

The die-cut is from my Cricut. I had to do some slicing in order to replace the word PIE with the symbol Pi.

Mountain Man Jr. Plus 2012 Scrapbook Layout

I've been finishing up some of my nephew's scrapbook for his graduation in June.

I have been scraping him since he was born so I have pieces that are finished but are very old-school looking with outdated papers and silly design principles.
The big thing is, when I first started scrapbooking, I scraped size 8 1/2 x 11.

I think it was my wedding album that made me cross over.
The 8.5 worked great for bridal showers and the bachelorette party. It also worked for my table cameras, because I put a picture of the person together with the card they gave us

But when it came to the photographer's pictures I needed more room to place more pictures that went together on a 2-page layout.

So, I switched to 12x12. Great. But, I have 2 full shelves of 8.5x11 scrapbooks. I have been slowly converting the okay layouts to be full size and go into his 12x12 book.

I have been converting calendar pages into 12x12 too.

So here's today's layout.

Silver cards with purple flowers

At the end of this post, I responded to my own post from yesterday. lol...That probably makes no sense to anybody but me.

The first set of two cards are similar and the second set of two cards are similar. However, the first and third cards have nothing in common.
Scratch that! Card 1 and Card 3 use the same circle square die cut.
Moving on.
The stamp on the pink card is by Stampin up. I colored it in with Copic markers and used some Stickles on each flower.

The sentiment is part of the bouquet stamp

The gray square with circle edges die-cut is by Spellbinders

The silver paper is by Creative Memories

I used the same silver cardstock on these two cards in the same way.

So check this out.
I found a trend on some store-bought cards.
There will be a large image on the front of the card and then there will be a smaller image of the same design or color on the back of the card.
I used both images in this set of cards.

This the front image of the card. I matted it onto the same silver cardstock as above the same purple recycled card as below.

The purple and yellow backgrounds are recycled cards.
Square punch by Creative Memories.
The scalloped square die is by Spellbinders.

Yesterday I said, I need to quit using this stamp set. I've tried.

But now I think it's time to move on from yesterday's stamp set and a few others that I've gotten my money's worth on.
So let me tell you about the company called,

The owner lost her husband when her children were very young and it prompted her to start making memory books of him for her kids.
Here's her page about Crafting for a Cause mission.

She is a local scrapbook business and you may recall that I auditioned for her DT back in December. You can see the project I made in this post HERE.

Thanks again for stopping by. Have a great weekend.

Thinking of You Square grid like pattern card

I used stamps by Hampton arts with matching dies for the outside squares. (They're more of a rectangle but we're going to go with square:)
Then I have the same Stampin Up squares that I've been trying to find a way to use them in a way that I like them.
The sentiment is by Hero Arts

I used inks by Hero Arts, Stampin Up and distress ink residue.
Pool Tide by Hero Arts in the center square. The same stamps around the outside squares are Sage Shadow by Stampin Up. I stamped off with this color and then stamped onto the die-cut. It's an old ink with a flip-top case. It has survived for many years.

On the SU stamps, I used the inks SU Soft Sky, SU Certainly Celery. Umbrella Sea Glass. When I stamped a bunch of these a few years ago, I didn't clean the stamp before stamping the next time.
I also did the stamping on random pieces of white cardstock and some on the backside of patterned paper that I knew I wouldn't use.
Therefore, the shades of white are off and that's something that I would have stamped again but then I would still have these oddballs sitting in my drawer.
Since I did not clean the stamps in between each use, the squares have their own unique color. I can see where the brown tint of ink is on the blue squares.

Here's another one with those stamps.
All the stamps are by Stampin Up
The flower die- cuts have matching stamps but for whatever reason
it didn’t cut all the way through the paper on the inside flower. It’s hard to explain.
The patterned paper is by Basic Grey
Vellum is from my stash
The grommet in the center is by WE R Memory Keepers
Ink is by Stampin Up and Ranger

Citrus Hello Sunshine Former ATC Card

I made this ATC in 2017 and decided to use it.
Truth-it was sitting on the counter and I didn't want to fuss with my ATC folder.

Check out the link for the stamping technique on the ATC.
The dry embossing folder is not one I own. I did put distress ink on the raised areas.

I tend to find A LOT of rabbit holes during the day. Not one of them is helpful in pushing my progress further along.
So if I can recognize that an action or doing something that isn't necessary and may lead to a rabbit hole search, I'm trying to avoid them. Trying.
However, I felt the need to find out when I made this ATC. I started looking in my photo folders. Which lead me to start organizing my pictures.
That is a big No-No!
Frustrating! Annoyed! I keep seeing that one picture somewhere else-so do I keep it? I'll just make another folder!
NO-NO-NO!!
I need and have offered to hire a minion, I mean HS student, to go through and delete duplicate photos for me. I will pay them for it.
In my dreams.
Thanks for looking and listening to my babbling.

Christmas cards Scrapbook Layout-Sassy in 2012

Today, I have some layouts from my Christmas card scrapbook. We no longer get cards from them. But if you think of it that was nine years ago. The older of those girls is probably 20.

The letter stamps are by Stampin Up

The circle stamps at the bottom of this layout are by Unity Stamp Co. I added some Stickles around the edges for a little sparkle.

The patterned papers are from my stash. I love using scraps for the pennants.
The snowflake on the left isn’t a die cut and isn’t paper. It’s reminds me of a sequin.  I put a Brad in the center of it.
My guess on the reindeer die-cut is Cricut.

For the next layout, all of the diecuts are from my Cricut
The pattern paper is by Die Cuts with a View
The border punch is by Fiskars
The word “girls” is rub-on by Autumn Leaves
The number stamps are by Stampin Up
I inked the edges with distress ink

The day cuts on this layout look amazing but they are time consuming to put together.
But they look good.
