Manly Monday graduation cards

Details/Products: The stars tape is by Scotch, the black cardstock from Scrapbook Made Simple, and the cap and diploma are puffy stickers by Paper House Productions. The sentiment is cut out with my Cricut and adhered to vellum. I adhered the vellum to a blue cardstock, which made the vellum look blue. I popped up the sentiment with white foam squares. The two corners were rounded with a CM corner rounder.

Details on my second card: Dry embossing folder by Darice. I inked it with distress ink. I adhered the sentiment to colored vellum that didn't match the school colors. So I colored the back of the vellum with a blue Copic marker before running it through my sticker maker by Xyron. The graduation cap is a sticker by Jolee's Boutique by EK Success. Thanks for looking.

Fancy Fold Graduation card for Jazz

Today’s card is a graduation gateway type of fancy folding card. The white paper is belly band that you slide off and can then open the card.

The belly band is off  and the card is opening.

Then you open it again to reveal the left side. Center

The whole card opened

Graduation card for Jazz. She’s a former student of my husband. They had some sort of playful thing with pizza and donuts. I included both elements in the card.
My cards normally consist of stamps and for this card, I wanted to challenge myself not to use any stamps.
That’s a big thing for me. I made this whole card with stickers and super old paper by Creative Memories. I think it’s super cute so she probably loved it.
Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Celebrate Cream and Green Hand Stamped background card

The card base was stamped with a leaf stamp and then if you look closely at the edges there's a straight line with swirls on it. Pretty. It would be nice if I knew who made that and the leaf stamp. The flowers are the cutouts of a border punch from Fiskars. The sentiment is a diecut by Crafter's Companion. Thanks for looking.

April Calendar Layout Good Day Sunshine

I like the layered border punches, one by Martha Stewart and the other by EK Success. The title is a Cricut cut and the word “Sunshine” looks like a stamp. This is an oldie but I need to post these calendars too. I get more every year. Thanks for looking.

Manly Monday Houndstooth Tags

The tags are upcycled from a bank that my mom swooped up from being trash when the bank went computerized and no longer needed them

My mom worked at a bank for 35 years. In that time she experienced many changes; a name change, staffing changes, location changes, and a change to become computerized. They no longer needed paper tags or plastic bags for checks or these shaped boxes that held specific papers. She helped those things to be recycled and not just thrown away. My Mom swooped up those tags before they made it into the trash bin and rerouted them to my house.

Anyway, I stamped the tags with a houndstooth stamp by Deep Red stamps. The small round circle at the top is a tag by Basic Grey. The background paper is ancient by Provo Crafts . The brad is from my stash. Thanks for looking.

Butterfly duo cards with a stenciled background

I used a stencil to make the background on the kraft cardstock bases. My friend sent me this beautiful butterfly die cut that was too big for one card so I cut it in half. It turned out pretty. Thanks for looking.

Manly Monday Buck die cut with a tag and some upcycling

The background paper is a wood pattern from the The Paper Studio Dendrology paper pad. The tag is by Basic Grey and the brad is from my stash. The birthday sentiment is by Stampin Up. I ripped the edges because they were uneven and it wasn’t worth my time to clean them up.
So, I had die cut a different buck die cut out of the tag. I thought that the buck would look good in the tag’s patterned paper. Well, it didn’t.
I could not let the tag go into the trash/recycle bin so I needed to cover up the mess. I die cut the Spellbinders Label 4 out of a wallpaper sample. I die cut a buck head that was different and smaller than the original and then I adhered them together with Ranger Medium Matte.

The label die didn’t cover the hole in the tag so I used the previous mistake/flaw to my advantage. I positioned the bottom of  the label die cut into the bottom of the tag which was the antlers of the original buck die cut.
In hindsight, I should have taken a picture of the tag before putting everything together because in 5 years I won’t understand what all of this means. Maybe. Thanks for looking.

2 Different Purple Cross Cards

Purple cross card

For the card above, I used scraps of purple paper to create the background. I couldn’t get them on straight, so I purposely made them crooked. The cross is a stencil with iridescent embossing paste and they are both by Dreamweaver stencils. I had to cut behind the cross in order to feed the ribbon to lay over the cross. Then I attached the ribbon on the front with a glue dot.
 q

For the second card, I stamped the Stampin Up cross stamp and colored it in with Copic Markers. I Outlined the cross with an STA Metallic Pen. The cross is layered on top of Cricut cuts from the cartridge Labels. The corner punch is by Marvy. The flower in the corner is unknown at this time but the leaves die cut is Recollections. Thanks for looking.

Manly Monday Owl-Who Me?

The owl is from patterned paper. I used a Spellbinders die to cut him out and then the next size up cut it out of a wallpaper sample. The sentiment is stamped with alphabet letters from SNP (no longer in business). The die cut was cut it half and so I placed a Creative Memories sticker over the seam. The brown background paper is dry embossed with a wood pattern embossing folder by Darice. The strips of paper are scraps from my stash. Thank you for stopping by.

Manly Monday Hold Your Horses card

The horse stamp is and I've stamped it with brown Stampin Up ink. I die cut the image and it's next larger die by Spellbinders. I inked the white cardstock with distressa ink, blue on top and brown on the bottom with Ranger's distress ink. The patterned paper of the die cut behind the image is by Papertrey Ink. This card came together when I found the horse image (Inkadinkado) in a drawer. It’s a drawer of images that could be referred to as any of the following: misfits, projects to be finished, or maybe I was stamping one so why not stamp a bunch of them. Whatever the reason that I had extra stamped horses that is my card for today. For other examples using horse stamps check out  my links.

Sew Lovely Border to Background cards

The border stamp that I used to make a background is by Stampendous. I upcycled a thank you card from the funeral home. They have a nice dry embossed frame.

The card above was stamped with black ink and colored in with Copic markers. Then I matted the panel onto red and black cardstock before adding them to the base. The sentiment is a Fiskars stamped in black on red cardstock.

For the card above, I used different ink pads on the same border stamp using the following colors: SU Daffodil Delite, SU Pink Passion, Hero Arts Tomato, SU Ballet Blue ink pad infested with other blue inks, and the last blue is HA Cornflower.

I heat-embossed a Lawn Fawn sentiment, pink powder onto the vellum. (I used vellum because I was covering up an oops but didn’t want to cover up my background.)

Do you see my error? Thanks for looking have a great day.

Manly Monday Emoji Poop belated birthday Card

The inside of this card says, "Poop! I missed your birthday". I used my Cricut to cut out the 💩. The embossed background is an Impresslit from Sizzix. It cuts out the center square as it goes through the machine to emboss.  I inked the raised area of the background with distress oxide and that’s it. This die/embossing folder would make a good shaker window.

Did you know...that the Oxford Dictionaries declared emoji as the word of the year in 2015?

Floral Friday Puple and Pink Daisy card

The card today is a birthday card. The patterned paper is from a 6x6 paper pad by a Hampton Arts company called Studio G. The flower stamp is on a Spellbinders die cut.

Idk why I stamped the flower onto purple cardstock, seriously idk why. But then I used a Spellbinders die to cut it out...crooked. So it sat in my drawer until recently, before calendar season. I'm looking at it going, what do I do with this thing, which direction should the card be, why did I put foam adhesive on it and why didn't I hide the foam better? Ugh! I took a Copic marker and colored the foam adhesive purple when my hand jerked and the marker went on the die cut. Awesome. I colored the edges in the darker purple and again my hand jerked so I brought the color in toward the flower. The flower got lost on the die cut so I put Stickles in the center and I wish I wouldn't have. The card's orientation is portrait. Here are some other cards using the same stamp. Thanks for looking. The die cut in the center is a Cricut cut. It is 2 layers with the pink paper by Sunborn and the purple cardstock from my stash. Here is a fun fact about that die cut, on the back  it says, "CCR Cartridge Freebie called Labels."
Let me dissect that lingo; CCR is "Cricut Craft Room". That was the second computer software that the Cricut company used and could be used with the archaic Cricut Expression. The word "Cartridge" should also be a giveaway that these are old die cuts because Cricut went away with cartridges when they introduced the "Explore Air". When they released the Explore Air they also created a new software called "Design Space" to take place the CCR. Sadly, Cricut still uses the same DS software that it did back then. SMH.
Anyway, below are links of cards using the same daisy stamp.

KCTC February calendar layout

This is my nephew and his dad, my brother, at the KCTC. end of the year ceremony. I think it stands for Kent County Training Center. Idk. I'm guessing. He went there as a high school student to learn about law enforcement.
So, I made the background with scraps of cardstock and added a few stickers at the bottom by Creative Imaginations. The pennants/banner were cut out with my Cricut. I stamped the letters with Stampin Up alphabets stamps, with SU ink. I sewed the banner on with embroidery floss. Thanks for looking.
