Photo Inspired Christmas card Mid-Month reminder

Christmas Cards all year Round Mid Month reminder This month at Christmas Cards all year Round our inspiration comes from this photo:

Make a card using any of the aspects of this photo as your guide and post at the CCAYR blog. This is a great way to get those Christmas cards started and ready for Christmas 2012.
My card today is a little bit of everything. I used the oval shape for my sentiment (die cut by Spellbinder, glitter frame by K & Co, ink by Stampin Up and stamp by Hero Arts), the yellow and red combination in my patterned paper (yellow paper is very old by Provo Craft and red paper and ribbon are by Stampin Up) and the detail of the red patterned paper correlates to the detail on the eggs (border by Spellbinders).
I hope you will join us this month at CCAYR for our photo inspiration challenge. There are only 14 people in so far and the prize is fabulous. Take a look HERE.

Thanks for looking.

Chalk-Ah-Lot Cafe Challenge #8

This week at Chalk-Ah-Lot Cafe the challenge is to use powdered chalk with a stipple brush. I used the chalk with a little bit of paint on the paper that has the sentiment on it.
Powdered chalks can be purchased HERE

One Stitch at a Time Challenge #109

This week at One Stitch at a Time the challenge is to make something bright. I created my card using an image by Stitchy and when I first chose this image I must not have had my glasses on. Once it was sent to me I noticed it had witches hats on top of the cupcakes indicating it was a Halloween image. Another classic duh moment for me but I wasn't going to ask for another image because I rather liked the challenge of making it not a Halloween card.
I colored my image in using Copic markers and topped the cupcakes off with rhinestones by Imaginisce. I love how it turned out and think it goes to show that just because an image is intended for one thing you can make it your own and use it for something else.
The rest of my card consists of patterned paper by K&i Memories and Making Memories, glitter paper by DCWV, cardstock by Recollections and Making Memories, Flower ribbon by American Crafts, die cut (scallop circle and border) by Spellbinders, stamp by Fiskars and ink by Ranger Industries
I showed my husband this card and said "Do you think this is bright enough?" He gave me the look like are you serious?
Thanks for looking.
