Stenciled Pineapple

I just adore this pineapple stencil by Dreamweaver Stencils. I ran it through my Cuttlebug with the Spellbinders embossing mat and then taped the stencil to the paper. I applied distress ink to the image with an ink blending tool and applied FX Powder in Kiwi and Gold Finch to the image. I matted the image onto polka dot paper by Papertrey Ink. The yellow background paper is watercolored paper made with Peerless watercolors that I made for another project and had some left over. The sentiment sticker is by Flair Designs.

SSD Thursday Challenge

I'm back from vacation and trying to get laundry done and ready for Fourth of July. I feel like a outsider in my own studio right now but I'm sure it will feel more like home as the day goes by. The gnomes didn't clean up my mess which is a total bummer. So I'll dig through the stuff to get posts going for the entire weekend.

Anyway, I am on the Thursday challenge team this month at Sassy Studio Designs and this week's challenge is something red, white, and blue. I used Sarong Sassy {scroll down to find her} by printing her out onto Cryogen cardstock and coloring her in with Copic markers. I die cut her out with a Spellbinders die as well as the red die cut with paper by Die Cuts with a View and the sentiment die cut with cardstock by Stampin Up. The sentiment stamp is by American Crafts with black ink by Hero Arts. The rhinestones are by Darice. The background patterned paper is by Cosmo Cricket and the blue cardstock is by Recollections.
