It's Party Time

I made this card for the Facebook challenge at Kenny K. The digi is a freebie you can get from their website, http://www.kennykdownloads.com/
I colored her in with Copic markers. I'm not thrilled with her hair but I figure every time I use the markers it's  practice for the next time. I will get better at it but I think it takes lots of time and lots of practice. She has streaks in her hair and I put distress Stickles in them to give them a boost. I used Stickles around her belt buckle, bracelet, on her instrument and in the star. The patterned paper is by My Mind's Eye and Basic Grey, cardstock by Oriental Trading Co (kraft) and Coredinations (brown), die cut by K and Co, star stamp by Stampin Up and wonderful sentiment sticker by SRM Stickers.

For my card today I recycled some things in an effort to be green. I used left over clear plastic, like from sticker sheets, with alcohol inks by Ranger to create the cool blue background piece. My other green effort is using old bottle caps on cards. I find for our drinking friends and family, they get a kick out of seeing their favorite beer cap on their birthday card. Gives them that personalized feeling that this card was made for them.

The sentiment letters are by Lawn Fawn with ink by Hero Arts. The banner was cut out using my Cricut Creative Memories cartridge Holiday Frames and tags. The outline around the bottle cap is a sponge stamp from eons ago. I pulled it out with some Making Memories paint, stamped and let it dry. You have to have a steady hand when working on a slippery surface. One good thing is if you mess up you can wipe it off and stamp it again.

That's all I have for you today. Be sure to check out the links above for some fabulous manly card inspiration.

I was sent some awesome images and I fell in love with this mouse one. So cute for a Mother's Day card. I colored it in with my Copic markers (I'm still learning this tricks to these markers. Just a beginner.) and then cut part of the image out. The pink die cut is by Spellbinders and the oval is by Cricut. The patterned paper is by My Mind's Eye. The stamps for the sentiment are by Lawn Fawn and the Mom stickers are Sticko/EK Success.

I hope you will join in on the fun at Tammy's Scrapin Corner this week. Thanks for looking.
