Manly Monday

I have some awesome guy cards to share with you this week. Sit back and take a ride to each blog for some inspiration.

This week for my Manly Monday card I used crackle paint by Ranger Industries on a piece of wrapping paper that I found in gift decorating tote. I thought it was perfect for a manly card and there wasn't enough left for a present but the perfect amount for two cards. First off I want to show you a picture of the crackle paint on the map. Isn't that cool? I love it.

For the rest of my card I used some Stampin Up patterned paper, sentiment stamp and Chocolate Chip ink and brown cardstock by Recollections. It's nice that the double sided patterned paper matches so nicely with the rest of my cards elements. After cutting the wood grain background patterned paper and adhering the map with the brown matte on to it, I cut these one inch strips of the other side of the patterned paper which is a leaf design. I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of Recollections cream colored cardstock and inked the edges with a Ranger blending tool and distress ink Pumice Stone. I adhered the sentiment to the patterned paper and attached it to my card base with double sided tape and brads from The Paper Studio. I thought it needed a small embellishment so I pulled out these tags by SEI and tucked them into the sentiment. I've used these before, recently, and find them to really add to a masculine card without too much bulk. At the end I adhered the card front onto the card base and off in the mail one of them goes to my mom's significant other:)

Thanks so much for looking.
