Turkey Day card for Chalk-A-Lot

I'm posting for the Chalk Ah Lot blog today and I made a new card to share using products from our sponsor Stamp N Plus. First up is the turkey stamp that I heat embossed it with a gold embossing powder and then colored it in with a combination of powdered chalks and paint. The two ingredients work fantastic together and is easy to apply to your image with a paint brush.

Next is the sentiment stamp is stamped onto a die cut that has been covered with powdered chalk and paint mixed together. Sometimes when I have left over mixes I use a larger paint brush to cover dies or just a section of paper that I can die cut later. I stamped the sentiment using a pigment dye to get a crisp stamp on the chalk. One nice things about Stamp N Plus powdered chalks is they don't need a fixative in to remain on your project. You can't wipe the chalk away like you've had to do with regular craft chalk.

The scallop circle is by K and Co (darker brown) and the smaller one is cut out using my Cricut. I don't always know what size shape I will need and this is one I didn't use for its intended project but was able to use for this one. The rest of the die cuts are by Spellbinders. I love that little leaf die cut for fall projects. The circle dies were inked with Distress ink while still in the wafer thin die. Then the card base is by The Paper Studio and that's what it's all about.

Did you get my card that it's "Wishing you a special turkey day"? Yeah a lot of people don't think I'm funny either but I still try. In retrospect, I should have cut the scallop die and moved the turkey closer to the words. Maybe even die cut the turkey off center. Live and learn I guess.

Here are a few links to the products I used:
