GDT at My Stamp Box week 2

Welcome to week 2 for my guest designer spot at My Stamp Box. If you missed last weeks awesome projects head HERE to check them out.

This is the stamp I used for my projects. It's so pretty and fun to stamp with.

I created this layout for my calendar. Around November I make multiple calendars for family but for my own calendar in my studio and at work I create them monthly. The flowers add a nice accent to my already girly page. I used the smallest flowers in the smallest circle punches in a dark purple.

For this flower below I heat embossed the image using clear embossing powder on watercolor paper. I covered the area with distress stain and then heat set it to dry. Using my finger I applied iridescent powder to the center area and then cut the flower in the shaped of a circle. The beads for the center of the flower adds another layer of dimension. Just squeeze Glossy Accents in the center and add the beads. You may have to do it a couple of times depending on how far you want this to stick off your project.

For my last project I thought to myself, "I didn't use the stems in the stamp set". Since summer is in full swing the stems reminded me of waves and "hey, those leaves look like fish".
I stamped the waves out on some patterned paper in different water color inks and then inked the edges near the bottom because water is darker as it gets further away from the sun. I hand cut the top with the flow of the stamps.

The "fish"/leaves were stamped on white cardstock with 3 different colors of craft ink. I then heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. The orange fish is the back side of the smaller leaf. After stamping and embossing the leaves, I cut them out, gave them an eye and a tail and adhered them to the sea with foam adhesive.
Just showing you another way to use your stamps. Always look for something different in your stamps then they were intended for.

Thanks so much to My Stamp Box for letting me play. I have more projects to share using this stamp set like this one HERE and more to look for in the near future.
Thanks for stopping by.
