Embossing Paste background Birthday Cards

I made this card featuring a flower stamp and birthday sentiment stamp by Gina Marie. You can find them at her store at wholesalecraftingsupplies.com.

I stamped both on paper by Color-Aid and die cut them out. On the sentiment I used a Tim Holtz die and the scallop oval is a Quickutz die. The sentiment is stamped with Hero Arts black ink and the flowers with distress ink by Ranger. The shape outline around the scalloped oval is cut out using my Cricut.

The background was made by using a stencil by Crafter's Workshop. I took the flower stencil and adhered it to me watercolor paper by Strathmore. Then using distress ink and an ink blending tool I added the pink and purple colors. I left the stencil in the same place and applied translucent embossing paste by Dreamweaver's Stencils. I made a big piece of this background and used it

on other cards.

Then HERE is another card using the same technique.

For this one I cut the background piece smaller and matted it onto a piece of purple cardstock by Recollections. The center includes die cuts from my Cricut in pink Recollections cardstock. The flower in the center is by Jolee's. There is a large ball in the center of the flower and therefore I had to send this in a large envelope to send it out. The sentiment stamp is by Gina Marie and is in the same set as the card above. HERE is the link again.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to see you back tomorrow.
